I'm curious why Evil's aren't able to have this supplication. Why is it only restricted to Goods/Neutrals?
20875, Short answer: to balance good v. evil (txt)

Collectively, Evil is offensively oriented and goods are defensively oriented. Ignoring access to magical damage reduction (it irritates me that I've found so many barrier sources from whom I cannot request and I'm not supposed to kill), the impression I've gotten is that paladins get heal and antipaladins get iceball.

If CF encouraged the existence of evil healers, then Scion and Empire would completely dominate when they are logged on.

-----

On a sidenote, it was pointed out to me recently that the evil cabals tend to see a much better distribution of character types (and tend to work together more effectively) than those cabals who allow goodies.

We batted around a few theories, such as evil cabals tend to destroy incompetents and reward effectiveness, but the design of Empire encourages class differentiation: you don't have to be squire 54 or blade 78, you can be number two in the divine sect or number three among the arcanes.

I suspect that people who play in evil cabals are more likely to look for a niche in which they can be useful, whereas the players in the good cabals play (and too often do) what they please. Contrast the present hero Scions and the hero Fortress in terms of class makeup, and you'll see where I'm coming from.

Edit: One thing I hated and simultaneously respected about Niherva was that he expected the people around him to toe a line. His rules might have been arbitrary and without merit depending on your point of view, but the Fort needs a strong hand to guide it.
20876, Your rant has nothing to do with my question.

Or anything in general.
20877, It seems directly relevant to me

It puts forward a hypothesis as to why evil healers don't get what is essentially the defense orientated supp you asked about.
20895, No it doesn't.

As Valguarnera stated in my thread about some Healer Edges, Evil Healers healing abilities were drastically reduced due to its effectiveness on others. You cannot commune Soul Citadel on another, hence it is a 'selfish' supplication. So why cannot Evil Healers have it as well?
20897, Class/align balance, d00d.

Or you could just keep arguing it. Whatever.
20872, Good questions

Maybe Imms could either update the helpfile to state why evils can't have it or allow it to everyone.

I can't answer this question, but I will say it would make an awesome name for a funk band.
20860, Goodie Healers are supposed to be more powerful due to their altruistic nature afaik. /nt

20865, Soul Citadel isn't an altruistic supplication.

I'm just curious why they don't have the supplication.
