20783, Ranger edge idea

Friend of the faeries - Due to time spent in the wilds with the faeries they can either, lessen chance of being fogged or faerie fired or reduce its duration.
Nothing worse than having your best offensive skill taken away from you by the easiest spell in the game to cast. This might help some rangers.

I totally agree with this because I don't think you even get a saving throw at the moment. It's not such a big deal for thieves and assassins who still have plenty at their disposal, but it really is for a ranger. It's always been like that though and I don't expect it to change.

20784, another idea, this might already exist.

Improved fashioning - The ranger with this edge can make better staff, spear, bows and harpoons (better average dam) then normal.
Imbued spirit - A ranger in touch with the wilds can imbue more of his spirit into his staff, spear or harpoon. (either better hit dam or more frequent progs ot BOTH!)

This is less likely as some may see it as overpowered but....
Borderlands/bushwack edge/skill - A ranger who has traveled many borderlands can perform an ambush from the wilds into a bordering are that may be civilised.
Ambush $target south. You dive from your cover and ambush $target.
Not overpowered I dont think but it may give a ranger a little utility and stave off the boredom that ensues when your enemy is waiting in the civilised areas and wont come in the wilderness and you will not fight as well in the wilderness.

I'm in favor of expanding rangers options to include something like a bumrush where you could 'charge' with any weapon instead of just spears while out of the wilderness. I don't think it should be tied to ambush because most typically, the people scared of the wilderness don't sit one square away. Ranger charge is already a bit soft, so I don't see making it possible to do with a dagger, sword, axe, staff, or bow a big deal.

I really don't see this as happening. Honestly, there's alot of times when your fashioned weapon is already the best one at your disposal. I think improving them would make them _always_ the best one at your disposal, and I don't think that'd be allowed, desireable, or necessary.
