20659, let's go for broke. yet another assassin question. txt

What are the reasons (if any) to use rising phoenix kick instead of mountain storm kick if you (the assassin) are only fighting a single opponent?
(More damage? More lag on the other guy? Less likely to miss?)

They're virtually the same when fighting only a single opponent.

Thanks man. That's what I always thought, but a couple key words in the help file made me think maybe there was benefit to using rpk.

If you fight a guy alone, but he is in a group, rising phoenix will wake the others by kicking them as well. Something to keep in mind.

20750, How are they waked while they are fighting you?

Rising phoenix kick hits all opponents that are fighting you, not those that are not (besides the target, who is hit nevertheless).

As Mryzzle I happened upon a group of Scions who were put to sleep with a certain item by a certain outlander. We attacked a certain transmuter, Janos, and I phoenix kicked him. When I did that, I woke the other two or three in his group. Janos still died, but the rest got away. Maybe its a bug then, but that is what happened. I kicked the entire group.
