19393, Fist of the Titan

I was just curious if the anti-paladin lash ability was affected by this legacy or does it bypass it?

I know you said it was affected by fist of the titan. I am assuming as in that fist can prevent a warrior from dropping his weapon when his hand is hit but I have never seen it happen. I have several logs, with this so I am wondering if it is just really bad rng or what? Sorry if I am just beating a dead horse here...

While a whip wielding AP is practicing his faceparry skills on your axes.

Having played Victoria, my experience was that the way to combat lashes was:

- drain the ap's moves -- this is the best option, if you can. So for a dagger spec, hamstring is a must, and preferably you want to stop them fleeing and using pills to regen moves. AP's that are bloodlusting will have poor mvs regen.

- maladict the ap. Admittedly, a decent ap will have lots of stat loss mitigated against.

- lag is another option, but then it becomes important that you aren't fighting a fully prepped ap. So draw fights out if you can.

19402, Depends ofcourse how big a whip we are talking here.

Having fought fire APs as a bashing warrior, I would say in melee it's roughly equal, with lightning control. The main problems I had was being unable to consistently permalag a fire giant and eating iceballs, and lightning control damage. Also, a fire giant with even an axe will parry much more than whip. Couple that with no exploitable vuln, and a bashing warrior is in much trouble.

Resist lightning on top of other preps, like aura, shield and stone skin, and there is no way even an abs prepped drow ap is going to straight out outmelee a prepped warrior who is hitting mithril vulns through whip parry. With stsf being all the rage though, most warriors are finesse style, who do not lag well. Iceball or lashes with lightning control will almost always beat finesse.

The only big basher type lately was Hunsobo, but I don't think your times matched his much? I would imagine even without anal retentive prepping from his part, those humansunders would've eaten you up pretty fast. So, did you ever fight him?

No, but I fought Brinkmun a lot. If he was lagging me, I was in trouble. If he wasn't, he tended to be.

But yes, even through abs + stoneskin he dealt huge damage. I could have used resist metal or armor of thorns but I hated the drawbacks too much. I did have a wraithform prep too, but don't think I ran into Brinkmun much after that.
19404, Yep, that's what I thought

Much easier to prevent lag from a rager, when you can alter size and he can't.

Bash ftw!
