19337, Binders and two handed weapons for AP
Posted by JMCC on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
It seems like to me that a lot of people don't use two handed weapons for AP because they are afraid about the ease binders have in taking the weapon. Simply, bind the hands, get the weapon from the inventory, and sacrifice.
I think it would be more viable if binders can't do that when iron grip is up. Heck, they can't remove the one handed weapon anyway with that trick. Why not assuage the fear and make it so that they can't remove two handed weapons? It might give APs more incentive to use two handed.
Thoughts?

My opinion: anyone who thinks this is probably assuming a few things that aren't true.

First of all, your belief in how these skills interact is not correct.
Second of all, neither the comparison of one vs. two-handed weapons, or your suggested change to iron grip has any practical affect to the end result of this encounter assuming a relatively skilled thief.

I like the sound of the idea, and I can't forsee it being THAT hard to code into grip.
