I understand edges aren't supposed to be on par with legacies. However shouldn't doubling up on edges be better then still hitting for scratches and grazes. I mean the descriptions are extremely misleading. Can they get a little bump at least?

I'm pretty happy with the effect the edges have for their cost.

They multiply your bash damage. Obviously a bash that would normally be a scratch or graze isn't going to become a whole lot more than that.

So is the only thing this would be good for is if you took the bash legacy, or it does not multiply the dmg for that? Kinda weaksauce if you ask me.

Nobody bashes for damage. That hasn't changed. But doing an extra 10 or so damage each time you bash someone has the net effect of doing one extra unblockable DISMEMBER after 5 bashes.

They are cheap edges that make something that is really good a little better. They aren't intended to make it so bash is a better (or even comparable) alternative to, say, bludgeon or doublethrust or crescent or chop or any other direct-damage skill.

My bashes should do pinceresque damage. I mean if someone else gets these edges, well that's ####, but my bashes should permalag every time and deal unspeaks. It's only fair.

My experience with Hunsobo was that I'd average about grazes-injures pre-edges and about mauls-decimates post-edges. I don't know about other factors for you - Max weight, for instance, smaller opponents for another?

Hell, it may even increase in damage with level, I don't know. I know the mighty kick skill is that way.

From a fight against Xinrithil I had with both edges:

Worked like a champ for me.

Yeah I see your point. Though I didn't mean for them to do CAP dmg, if that's what you think I meant, just more then scratches and grazes if someone picks both. Yes I know it's a modifier now, but flat dmg bonus might be better?
