18422, Muters and save vs Para
Posted by Drag0nSt0rm on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
So now that you can ACTUALLY save against nuero disrupt. Can we have it so the save vs para gear doesn't lean so freaking heavily into goodies? I went back and dug up a log of my last goodie Drostas I could pretty much wander a few places and get a damn nice stack of svp. A certain helm, some breeches, neckware of a few different flavors, along with other various seemingly common gear. Now as a evil I wander around and I can BARELY scrape up like -20 svpara. And one of those items isn't limited or anti-anything.
Honestly my biggest miff is can't we have it so saves vs Para doesn't favor goodies to such extremes?

Always could. I don't think as much has changed as you seem to think.

It really doesn't. You've got to be forgetting about some of the better gear for evil, and I'm not even thinking explore areas here.

Really? I have a few frustrating memories of running into a certain Enarn with resist mental swiftness and around -20 svm and -30 svp And just getting frozen into oblivion equal ranks too. Now I'm told by a few different muter players I poke fun at, that its neigh useless on any sort of half-brained player wearing any sorta saves at all.
And as for gear, really? I can think of alot of gear that both sides can wear thats hard to get, but generally some freaking gnome that guildsits usually has the good bits, and as an aside alot of the goodie stuff that comes to mind is walk there, request it cause its always in, and wear it. With the few evil bits that come to mind, its get a huge group lead them there, explain how such and such works to get there, fight the damn mob and it does something you didn't deal with last time and get wasted for your efforts...
Maybe I'm just too much of a serial evil, but its not like I haven't had my fair share of decent goodies =P I still feel the tables lean heavily for a goodie to slap on a huge set of para/mental easily and prettymuch defang that tool in the muters arsenal.
