This is my first time playing a conjie with a faerie dragon. I noticed that when I type FAMILIAR to get a list of commands the dragon can perform, one of them is SLEEP. However, when I do a FAM SLEEP, the echo I get back is, "You are unable to sleep."

Is there some special condition required for a faerie dragon to sleep, or are they simply unable to sleep ever? And if that's the case, why even have the command available to them if it's not usable?

They're unable to sleep ever. This is a side-effect of their immunity to sleep, which is generally a very handy thing.

They have the command because all familiars have it, and taking it away for one familiar is so far down my priority list that I'll never personally get to it.
17344, is it possible to clarify the echo? nt

While we're on the topic, are familiars, in general, considered completely balanced?

Take imps vs. ravens vs. quasits, for example... a lot of people tend to delete if they get imp -- impcurse vs. detect hidden doesn't really seem like a toss up. Is there something huge I'm missing?

Of an imp tanking a hero range battlerager berserker...deathblows and all.

That's pretty damn impressive. I haven't had quasit, but when I had a raven it didn't do the whole tanking thing.

Imp is great in melee, and it has some other nice advantages too. I'd never delete with an imp.
