17002, Wooden Armor
Posted by Straklaw on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Does wood armor fit into any categories? Light armor? If not, would it make sense for it and maybe other natural armors to have a category or no?

17007, No category.

It's not guaranteed that every piece or armor "fits" somewhere. Wooden armor is fairly uncommon except for shields, or for druids that are wearing whole suits of Transmuted metal. I'm not sure I see a big incentive to go there, especially since the other class (rangers) would then have an incentive to just wear metal armor and bug druids to Transmute it.

17019, Is the same for hide (not dragon hide)

sorry if this was answered else where but there are a number of pieces of armor that are hide type that are not dragon just curious if they fall under any category.

17006, I vote for some ability to tell what type it would be classified as

maybe make this an exploration skill that comes before or close to improved compare. Could make this a melee type skill representing a higher level of understanding of armor. Honestly I think if you got the knowledge to utilize it affectively you should be able to identify it.

I could add an echo similar to what you get while wearing a weapon, though this might get spammy. Might be easier to add a line to Examine, though I don't like that as much as one for "trying it on" from an IC sense.

17015, Doesn't seem like it'd be that spammy to me...

Donning your full metal jacket you feel confident in your ability deflect blows with metal armor.
