1612, FNCR - a problem with it

There hasn't been a crash or reboot in like a week!

Are you guys going for a record time of it being up?

Reboots and crashes are good for the game in my opinion, they clean some things up.

And fixes don't go in until the darn mud reboots!

Sorry if this has already been brought up.

1617, First they bitch because it's unstable

Then they bitch because it's too stable.

It would seem we just can't win. However...I'm pretty sure the staff would lean towards too stable and not really worry about reboots.
1618, I'd settle for "Comes back up when it reboots". (n/t)

1619, Just for the record:

I take offense to you calling me 'they' :)

If I ever resemble any of these jokers please put me out of my misery!

Thanks for the response though. I was just concerned because without reboots things get pretty out of whack as far as areas are concerned. (keys, summoned mobs, etc.)

Thanks though,

1613, Scheduled Reboots

I think scheduled reboots would be a good thing considering the stability of CF has become something to marvel at. I'd set it in the vicinity of every 5 days at 12AM game time.

They would have to be random or the player base would use the knowledge to their advantage.
1616, Yes, they will be random

We do plan periodic reboots to put new things and larger bug fixes in. There's just no sense in doing a reboot to fix a few minor bugs. But then sometimes we might go a week without a reboot...
