16025, In the spirit of Christmas: Assassinate

I guess it's closer to Martin Luther King day. Anyway.
As a reflection of varied approaches that might be taken with a weaponless assassination, an open-handed assassinate is generally straight up, ignoring both resistances and vulnerabilities (but not immunities).
Also, spotting your would-be assassin before the moment of truth is greatly detrimental to the success rate of the assassination, but, like wearing -60 save vs. spell underwear on power word kill day, not completely guaranteed to save your life.

Are these changes, or are you just giving us some insight into the way it's always been?
Questions:
When you say bare-handed assassinate ignores resistances and vulnerabilities, does that include a giant's resist_physical and a gnome's vuln_blunt?
When you say "spotting your would-be assassin" does that include all types of "spotting"? Where? Who? Look? Scan? The paladin commune that shows you everybody in the room?

Always.

Yes.

Who's straight out. I think everything else is kosher.

Okay...I'm honestly not trying to be obtuse here, but what do you mean by the above?
That who doesn't count as "spotting" but everything else does?
Or, that who does count as "spotting" and everything else is kosher for the stalking assassin?
