15244, Cabal Propaganda

As I was out jogging today I got to wondering why it is that with what, 7 different cabals on the game there isn't much in the ways of propaganda for the different cabals? Ok, Scion doesn't really count because they're supposed to be a not-so-secret secret society so I don't really see their members doing any propaganda but the others really don't have that excuse. What I mean is that (I think) there should be members from the various cabals that in their free/spare time promote whatever cabal they're a member of. Be it commissioning bards to send out missives, standing in Market Square using yell trying to recruit and educate anyone passing through town that they should join the cabal, or simply sending tells to anyone you've just fought suggesting that they should join your cabal. I don't know, maybe this could be another element of RP that could be incorporated.

For example maybe the Empire could send out bard notes something along the lines of old US Army recruiting posters: The Emperor Wants You!
Or maybe the Sunwarden (when he's not Wanted) could preach to any adventuers in Galadon about the corruption that civilization brings to their souls and how they should repent their ways to follow the teachings of Thar-Eris. Who knows, you could score one or two new recruits.

Just a thought! Comments, criticisms, opinions are welcomed. Flames can be kept to yourself. Thanks.

Edit: Template for an Empire recruiting poster! http://tinyurl.com/skpwv

I would say that most of these things have been done at some point. Having creative ideas like this are the beginnings of exceptional roleplay. If your character would do these things to further his cause, you as a player should be having him do those things. My mortals have done paintings, preached from Market Square, and done a lot of the things you are talking about. Actually, if you think up something creative and new, chances are pretty strong that you will recieve some sort of immortal reward if you catch the eye of an Imm.
15248, I actually had somewhat of the same idea when I played Dhaezym.

I wanted to do a bard note to all about the glories and riches in the Empire. Then I was going to commission a song talking about 'This is our Thera. From the North Road, to the Gates of Hamsah, the Sea of Despair, to back home. This is our Thera!'

Heh. I needed a character called Cougar though.

Lots of Forties and Imperials in particular try and convert you after a battle. Usually some variation of "REDEEM YOURSELF IN THE LIGHT OR FACE DOOM" or "TAKE THE OATH OR REMAIN FOREVER WEAK, INSIPID FOOL"

Yup.

Also, I've noticed a lot of priests who preach about their religion, though with the declining playerbase it doesn't happen all that much anymore.
15246, Some people do that.

If you read notes, you'll notice an occasional propaganda note. The recent note I've seen was a Tribunal recruitment ad, telling people about the benefits and requirements of the job. When I rolled my first character, Fungor, there was a propaganda note by Empire that told of Fortress brutally murders duergar babies in cold blood and how Empire will provide a refuge to these misunderstood races and fight against the cruel intolerance of Fortress. Propaganda notes do exist, but it is up to people to write them.
15245, This is a intresting idea

But it does strongly influence the player base =D
I did a little recruiting on Iborenn simply because of the lack of applicants, I'd talk to any lowbie that looked intrested or would even make a vague attempt to RP with me.

Is a good example of what I'd like to see more of!
