I'm intentionally posting this here instead of in the conspiracy thread, even though it would probably be more likely to generate an answer if I posted it there.
Assassinate. There are alot of things people claim as affecting the success rate. Hitting a vuln. Assassin's hitroll. Night vs. day. Standing vs. resting vs. asleep. Using a weapon the target doesn't learn. Not stepping out of the shadows at all during the stalk period even if the target doesn't see you. Luck stat. Whether the target has been in a fight recently (high adrenaline).
Roughly speaking, what percentage of these claims are absolute crap and what percentage are actually good advice?

People say that conjuring in 'certain places' gets them a bonus. That they can near guarantee a 'transplendant every time' if they conjure in these places.
Are these easily findable with, say, attune or is it something you have to discover yourself? Is there some sort of big hint in these 'special' rooms? Or is it all a load of nonsense?
Yhorian.
PS - If you're bored and reading this, search for wellie wanging on wikipedia :D You won't be dissapointed.

Load of nonsense, sort of.
Some places are bad for conjuring. Guilds are a common example.
Everything else is normal.
