14105, Just a random subvert idea

Because Tribunals don't lose guards (including the Provost and the likes guards that go out of town, afaik), why not let Outlanders keep subvert when they don't have the fetish?

It seems only fair since subvert is only really useful against the guards. It would be a useful tool in trying to recover the fetish and the Provost gets to use his guards to recover the scales.

If I had my way, I'd also allow subvert in combat since the bastards attack WANTED on sight and it's kind of hard to beat them to the punch most of the time. Though I'd leave the timer on it.

If we allowed this, I'd like to see goods have some fetish-free bonus to balance it out. As it is, good is the least-popular alignment choice in Outlander, and I'd rather not do anything to skew it further at this point.

That's an interesting point on WANTED Outlanders using subvert. I'll have to think about that.

I think the only reason that good outlanders are unpopular is that its more restricting and harder to play a goodie.

However, power-wise, they're really, really powerful thanks to beast call AND bioempathy. Any mage/priest class "worth their snuff" would take advantage of meditation/trance/unbound/bioempathy to make a really awesome character, but because a lot of people want to play murder classes, you don't really see this.

Overall, Outlanders is good for the PKing powers with the expectation of good RP.

Unbound + bioempathy + slow especially is just a mind boggling amount of regen.
