What about targets who have magically slept themselves, by eating/brandishing/quaffing something they shouldn't have? Will the wake-chance code be in effect for anybody who tries to maledict such a person?

The way I would code that, it would trigger on anyone but themselves.

True. But a case could be made for allowing anyone to maledict such a person without fear of waking him, since he was dumb enough to knock himself out.
