I like the concept that dirt/disarm (or permutations) won't completely determine the shape of combat, but the question comes to mind: how does this relate to the hand to hand specialist and assassins?

Would a H2H spec or an assassin gain anything from taking these skills?

Does this skillset detract from playing a H2H spec or Assassin because unarmed foes are going to fight better? (The saving grace for the assassin over the H2H spec may be their superior malediction ability.)

1) An assassin wouldn't gain from taking these skills primarily because they can't. We could cruelly offer skills like Kick to assassins, but they might accidentally practice them.

2) An H2H spec would derive some small benefit.

3) You should probably see the skills in action before you assume they're a bigger deal than they are. Again, the closest comparison to Elbow and Knee is Kick. Many characters probably won't practice them, but it was easy to do and offers options where there previously were none.

I didn't expect much from the low skills, but the acquired Brawling skill had me wondering.

Thanks for the quick scoop, Val.

Any chance of improving at HTH by using elbow, knee, kick? That might be worth the practices to me...
