Let's say a warrior can somehow attack a camo ranger.

Let's say the ranger is waylaying the warrior, and the warrior dashes in to dirt the ranger.

First question to the Imms. What Wins, Dash? Or Waylay?

second question to imms and players. What SHOULD win in your opinion?

What happens when you have, say, a warrior dashing into a thirsting villager with an attack move. Does the thirst murder go off first, or does the dash command? What if dash is used by an elf into a berserk orc?

And the real kicker. What happens when a berserk orc and a thirsting elf end up in the same room?

Answers:

1) Dash v. Thirst. Thirst wins.
2) Dash v. Berserker. Berserker wins.
3) Thirst + Dash v. Berserker. Berserker wins.

Thanks for playing.

12950, I believe dash beats thirst, but not orc berserk or eyes. nt

I'm not sure which wins. If I had to guess, I'd say waylay.

Probably waylay should win, but if it doesn't, I'm not sure that I'd care enough about this extremely rare case to change it.

So, our warrior has maelstrom and he knows that ranger is in other room.

Waylay should win, because ranger was already there and warrior arrived to the ranger expecting him.
12959, Not possible

There is no way a warrior can "know" that a ranger is in the other room if the ranger is camo. That includes warriors with Maelstrom.
12962, Yes, there is.

dashing into the outlander inner, for one.
12964, I wouldn't call the inner a ranger

Maybe it's just me, but I'd describe it as closest to a druid.
12972, That's not his point

He means that if there's a ranger defending, you can often guess that he's gonna be sitting at the inner. So you dash in with a command to initiate against the ranger, even though your char can't see him before the dash, you have a good idea where he's gonna be.
12974, Ok, I get the scenario

Just seems odd that a ranger would hide in a place where enemies would expect it if said enemies can see him.

Personally, I don't remember rangers ever doing that for me, and I raided the outlanders with Maelstrom a few times.

Normally the rangers camo'd in different places each time.
