12849, Should redemption be toned up?
Posted by Rustanviel on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
I was just thinking about how specific of a supplication redemption is, and how it only deals with one thing, damnation. As such, you would think it would have a chance of working. I've had a few characters with redemption, and have often blown all of my mana trying to remove damnation. Seeing as how redemption costs 40 mana, 8 times what remove curse does, I think that either the cost of redemption should be lowered to the amount of curse, or, at 40 mana, redemption should have the same chance of redeeming you as you would have of removing a curse. With multiple characters, I've thought that it doesn't make sense to have a supplication that is completely specific to one other supplication (damnnation) and then to have redemption be completely unable to remove that damnation at times.
12851, Agreed.

Devil's damnation has occassionally taken me so long to cure with redemption that it has expired of its own volition before I was able to get it to work.

I'd say, maybe up the mana to 75 so damnation is still more of a pain in the butt than curse, but make it work a bit better.

For removing the damnation. It has been a pain to remove damnation using redemption. I remember trying to rid it from a dark-elf shaman in Underdark and gave up, waiting for it to disappear.
12903, I'll sign these posts.

Redemption needs some serious help.

I don't even bother practicing it anymore - even against lower level Damnations its really, really shakey.
