12843, Galadon Ranger Guild

Yeah, this was brought up on the Newbie channel earlier today. And an Imm mentioned that it should be posted here. But being that rangers are forest warriors/woodsmen and they learn their skills quicker in the wilds, as well as for any future Outlander applicants, wouldn't it make sense that instead of having new rangers trek it into Galadon in order to train their stats that the guildmaster be able to do this as well? I know the other guilds allow this and all, but to me it just makes sense for the Ranger guilds as well as the Druid guilds of Galadon. This way if they're going with a role where they dislike city life then they don't have to spend more time than they need to in Galadon. And if they don't mind it, they can still make use of the trainer.

Just a suggestion.

I could semi-agree with this, exception being anything to do with the druid guild. It's in the city, so even if the druid guildmaster could train, it's still in the city. Ranger would be meh though. Considering the reasoning, they could just tough it out like non-ranger outlander wannabes do. There are other places to train too. Plenty actually. Could argue newbie wouldn't know it, but newbies *really* shouldn't be outlanders.

P.S. I've never noticed ranger learn skills quicker in the wilderness, they just tend to work better the more time they spend there. A minute every five levels in a city shouldn't kill them.
12845, Oh yeah...

I forgot that the Druid guild was inside the city. My bad. See I've been traipsing around the Weald with my ranger and found the Druid guild out there so that was the guild I was thinking of.

Regarding that P.S., I thought I heard someone tell me that or it could be from the Ranger help file. I dunno. I guess I'll find out the more I play this one.
12846, There is also a Druid guild in the Weald

So I guess it would make sense for it to be on a par with the ranger's guild should any changes be made.

Given the nature of the Weald's ranger's guild, its not going to be a place you'll want to hang out much as an Outlander applicant. Particularly of note, they are closely associated with the Tribunal and will attack you if you are WANTED.

I would suggest finding another guild, alot of the guilds further off the beaten path offer training services in them already.

I didn't think that a forest area so close to Galadon should be very Outlaw friendly. Hence the guards at the crossroads and between the Weald and Silverwood, and the former Justice rangers setting up a guild in the woods.

That being said, I don't think a suitable trainer mob in there would be overpowered, and I've got just the mob in mind.

12850, Yeah, that'd be weird if it was.

I don't think it would break things to put a trainer there either, but then again if you make your home too comfortable you'll never get your kids to move out.
