12807, Outlander rangers

I know this has been brought up before, but it's always been kind of buried in other discussion:

Any chance Outlander rangers can get that mentioned-by-passing ability to hide from other Outlanders? I'm quite sure I saw some imm (Nep? Valg? Someone?) talk about it being planned at some point, and it really would kick the llama's ass. Make it a feature of trustcabal or something?

Just mentioning.

Unless their fellow Outlanders have some sort of heightened woodland perception, like woodelves or rangers, camouflage probably hides them from other Outlanders.

I wouldn't be asking if it did. :)

No, every outlander sees other camouflaged/chameleoned outlanders, just as if they had permanent acute vision, and that's what makes it kind of annoying considering the cabal design allows for internal conflict. For instance, it'd be cool to smack down that nasty evil person murdering your friends instead of trying to spam serpentstrike and hope they don't use their overpowered "flee" and "quaff" or just otherwise mangle you.

Maybe outlanders can see other chameleoned outlanders, but my ranger has snuck up on a chameleoned outlander warrior via camo/creep with no problems. Outlanders don't get acute vision to pierce camo, though I don't know about chameleon, they might be able to see through that.
12819, Outlanders can see all other outlanders

That's what he is talking about. Outlander rangers should be able to camo and not be seen by other non-ranger, non-woodelf outlanders.

That's what I'm after, they shouldn't lose one of their most valuable assets that easily.

Much like an Outlander can't see an improved invis'd Outlander voker (they wouldn't otherwise see), or a hiding shapeshifter form, or a duo'd muter, or... uh... that elusive projected Outlander conjurer.

Of course there's the whole issue about caballed bards, but that's for every cabal, not just Outlanders.
