12272, Containers

I am disturbed by the reduction in container size across the board, and would like to ask why it was done. It has in some ways not insignificantly impacted on the fun of the game for me and I think others. The trend toward "realism" in these areas of the game has I think taken a step too far. Obviously every single aspect of the game is subject to a judgment call on whether to adhere to reality as we know it, or to go against it. Some are easy calls (magic works) and some are difficult (intricacies of the anti-gang code). These judgments generally consider the need to make the game realistic enough to satisfy a reasonable person's expectations but also the balancing of the funstick, as Thror used to say. At some point too much realism degrades the funstick beyond where it should be.
I think that has happened here. I certainly don't know all of the containers in the game, but I know a bunch, and so far none has even remotely the capacity of only two months ago. Hell, is there any container in the game now that has the capacity that the saddle bag used to have? That the good girdles used to have?
Containers are limited by the nature of limited items, so it is not as if a large container can enhance gear hoarding. It has now become an inventory problem, and I don't see the need to add that problem to the playerbase.
I have no problem with changes, sometimes they are good sometimes bad, sometimes a wash. I think it makes sense to have items and the like standardized. But like you did with food, perhaps there should be the nice large containers out there, but that must be bought rather than found? Something.
If they exist (and not just in one remote shop that only an acute-vision ranger can see, please :)) then great, say so and we can move on. But I have done some looking and found none. Maybe you might put more in.

I haven't noticed any reduction in the one I use.

12279, A few suggestions

I know you know CF, but some things you might not have thought about:
1) You can compare containers now, and that's what I did until I found one that was a decent size. Its easier than guessing which is better.
2) Container capacity is by weight, so your 20 pound axe is taking up 20 potion slots. This probably matters more now that they are generally smaller.
