I agree people are definitely sensitive about dying and losing gear.

But people tend to die less now, get looted less, and there is more gear than ever before.

So I don't think the answer is to make it easier/softer, since it already is and people are still unhappy. I think it's more just an attitude thing.

So for me, that change is unlikely. I don't think I like the idea of reducing con loss, personally.

As to EP, things are as they are for now. And you do get EP for reaching old age, so that's kinda there!
