I think that's an out####ingstanding idea. I have no idea if it is feasible, and you'd have to consider levels and costs and all that - a specialized mercenary purchased by a level 15 pc should only be able to cast/do the spells/skills that someone in the teens can do, I would think - but I think it's a great way to add new elements to pking.

Of course, I can see the argument for allowing some level 15 punk who stumbles onto a huge pot of gold being able to then go buy a level 51 merc and having some real fun. Might ruin other people's fun though, to be bashed by a fire giant warrior and before you can flee be hit with an immolation. Bwahahahahahaha!
