This is assuming you already have a predetermined understanding of what is and is not right for players to do. You, the person behind Lyristeon, feel it is wrong to hold onto items. So you're forcing your personal opinions on other players.

I know in the past I've held onto things like swirling black opals and prayer beads and armageddon so that my enemies couldn't have them.

Until it is written in th rule book that holding onto limited items you can't use is wrong, then maybe you should keep your opinion to yourself.
