It really shouldn't. Dispel is pretty much exactly the intended counter to using a huge amount of low level affect preps. Additionally, having a ton of saves also helps you out a ton against the classes that tend to be pinging you with dispel.

Maybe you should play one of those classes for a while and get back to me.

The type of damage it does is in the name of the spell. I'm not sure how much more obvious we could make it. :)
