Some of these logs illustrate exactly what *not* to do, so hopefully you're getting that too.

Just the other night, I was on as a mortal and just massively screwing up. Had the wrong variable as my target, so I kept getting "They aren't here." when I'd try to attack, thought I had preps that I didn't have, wrong weapon (or no weapon!) wielded, and so on.

I actually said out loud (to myself) something like "you need to pull your head out of your ass."

I got lucky and nobody was able to capitalize on it.
