In the heat of the battle I guess I just figured I'd hit the WoF enough to crumble it (I've honestly never dealt with it before, strangely enough). And I never went back to look at the log (other than to gack again at the ANNIHILATES I took).

I'll ask around and see what's up. I bet it is a bug.
