What do you, the IMMstaff, look for in a role?

I wrote one at about level 40(took me some time to proof-read it and re-write) and while I don't think it's 'awesome' per say, I'm rather proud of it. But I'm not sure it's what you (IMMs) are looking for.

To paraphrase it (and, if I got lucky enough for any of you to read it, you'll probably know who I'm playing :)) I wrote about what shaped (or in the case of the first chapter of the role, what began to shape) my character. His childhood. I plan on subsequent entries to express how he came to feel about the races of Thera and the language, as well as racial/alignment conflicts. I plan on entering these before level 51 (if I ever make it...). All of these entries take place before I leave for the Academy, AKA level 1.

And I say for me, because your milage will vary from Imm to Imm, but for
me, I don't wanna read a novel. If you can use less words to get the
point across, then please do. :)

Something that is short and sweet, it might tell me about your background,
why you act the way you do, or even what your goals and ambitions are.

I also tend to wonder what made you all of a sudden write a role at level 40..and why you didnt make entries all through your life. BUT...generally if your telling a good story. Its a good role.


Ie...if you tend to PK randomly....then add an entry about how your character likes shinies...so he's going to PK whomever he wants..whenever he wants. That's kind of lame.

On the other hand..if your char hates felars..and has been killing felars all his life....then you should put that together in a little story form so we know WHY you are just killing felars. Otherwise it might go unnoticed. Role is a powerful tool for you to allow the imm's to see the WHY's of what you are doing and reward you accordingly.
