I just recently started playing on carrionfields and have created a duergar character. However, after reading the helpfiles on them and their speech patterns, i'm confused about how to "sound" like them.

I was wondering if anybody had any hints on how to sound like a duergar, any help would be appreciated.

Have a heavy accent and remember that you are evil? Also, because you are evil, don't expect people to like you or trust you because any smart players won't. In short, you are likely to be treated like dirt so expect it as it is the part of evil in the world.

Remember that any unknown character in PK range is a liability and seeing one in where list should be telling you that you are in immediate danger. CF is not a friendly MUD to the careless and this ie especially true for a duergar, whom tend to have many enemies due to the fact that the duergar are often used as lowbie choppers as they can detect hidden in civilized terrain.

But in such a way tht people understand it's in character and not because you the player are a ####-bird.
