I have been experimenting with rangers for about a year and a half, trying different races to see what I prefer. Anyway, with a felar ranger I had, waylay worked fine after someone was snared. However, with my most recent ranger (still current char so I won't mention what race) I cannot seem to be able to waylay someone who is snared.

I still get the correct echo that I am waiting to waylay so and so, but the actual ambush never occurs unless I directly ambush instead of waylaying.

Did the skill get changed, or is it race related, or could it be a bug with my char?

Pretty sure waylay only works with the full name.

A camouflaged ranger may attempt to lie in wait and ambush someone.
If the selected victim enters the ranger's reach the ranger will
automatically try to ambush their victim from cover. You must use
the entire name of the intended victim with the waylay command.
