4173, camo and svs questions
Posted by silat on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Some newbie questions about camo and saves
1) What can you do while camo'd without revealing yourself? Eat/drink/rest/cast/etc?
2) Who can see you, rangers and wood elves? Can they see you on where?
3) How, if at all, does any of this change with shifter forms (ie forestblend) and outlander chameleon?
4) Does the effectiveness of SVS (and other saves) depend on level? For example, while -20 may do very little at hero, is it good at lower ranks?
Thanks.

I don't know all the mechanics to this question but I do know there is a confounding effect: levels and spellcraft.
Higher spellcraft skills means that the target saves less often, and this is more likely to occur at the character casts many more hours of spells over a lifetime. This will feel like more saves are required.

>Some newbie questions about camo and saves > >1) What can you do while camo'd without revealing yourself? >Eat/drink/rest/cast/etc? > All the above you can do and stay camo.
>2) Who can see you, rangers and wood elves? Can they see you >on where? > Other rangers can see you on where, I forget all the mechanics of wood-elves.
>3) How, if at all, does any of this change with shifter forms >(ie forestblend) and outlander chameleon? > Blend skills and chameleon are the same effect as camouflage and all the same things more or less apply.
>4) Does the effectiveness of SVS (and other saves) depend on >level? For example, while -20 may do very little at hero, is >it good at lower ranks? > I have no idea behind save mechs but saves tend to be more important imo at higher level cause higher damage spells and more deadly ones are available.
>Thanks. You're welcome.
