3424, Shaman Edge Questions
Posted by curious on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Questions on shaman edges: Does unyielding adversary only affect mend wounds while in combat? Making this a non-pvp skill?
I'm confused by the description of Claim the Unfettered. Does it basically have a chance of stealing their preps (things they cannot cast themselves)?
Cursebringer and sightbinder, are there prereqs for these other than curse/blind?

Unyielding Adversary: Yes only in combat, but its well worth it for leveling/pvp
Claim the Unfettered: Think you have to be chaotic? If an invoker is sanced and shielded with stone skin, You can grab the sanc and stone skin. His invoker shileds you cant have etc (class specific)
Cursebringer and Sightbinder have racial requirements (could be wis based) and I believe you need 90% in each ability.

I would argue that unyielding adversary is VERY useful in pk. (It served me well with Nererial.) A lot of fighting as a shaman is about drawing fights out, and the more efficiently you can use your mana the better. It also means you don't have to keep clear of your enemy for as long each time you break off to heal.
Claim the unfettered can be taken by an orderly shaman. I had it with Nererial, who was Imperial High Priest. I would, however, advise that it's not as great as it sounds. Typically I'd strip something like the +ac bit of a frenzy. :(
