2997, about Primordial Vengence
Posted by NewRanger on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Helpfile says:
Syntax: commune/cast 'primordial vengeance'
By pronouncing this curse, the druid or ranger calls upon the spirits of the surrounding nature to follow and punish a single foe. If successful, misfortune will follow the afflicted so long as they stand within unspoiled terrain, taking a myriad of forms as the angered spirits take their revenge. Those who are most comfortable in the wilds are the least vulnerable to this, as their harmony with nature keeps the spirits at bay. Though the curse may be removed, it must be done among the spirits of nature, where forgiveness can be found.
I wonder what kind of 'punishment' it does? Looks like continous effects (like arc of lightnings) but if you ever had it cast on you, I'd like too have more info about it...
thank you.

There's at least one (close to Galadon, even) who loves this commune.

...and generally discomfort an enemy to nature.
A few things off the top of my head:
1. A nearby tree root trips you as you walk by - you get put into a resting position, take a small amount of damage, and are lagged a litle bit.
2. Lightning from the sky hits you (ala call lightning).
3. A tree branch whips and smacks you in the face (small damage and some lag?)
4. A snake bites your ankle (I think you get poisoned?)
That sort of thing.
In general, if you get this cast on you, you need to either get rid of it or go to a civilized location to wait it out if there is anyone chasing you. If not, you can probably just go about your business and just be annoyed for a while.
It can be especially deadly to have this plus spores plus thornheart on you - spores sap your mana steadily, thornheart inflicts steadily increasing damage, both last a long time, and neither goes away if you are just sitting at a normal civilized room.
