Basically our thought process there was, we want to make sure your empowering imm has a chance to have a say in you taking the Bloodoath if you're not lawful. If you're a chaotic evil Pico shaman who takes the oath, probably you're screwed. If you're a neutral evil Daevryn shaman who's cleared with him that you're taking the oath and why, you're going to be fine. It's not like a normal alignment change in that you're going to suffer crippled for a million hours.
