- "area" lists all standard areas in the game. You can also look only for a specific level range- see the helpfile for the command. Use this to narrow things down to places where you'll be able to stay alive, and also have terrain appropriate to you.

- Keep in mind that most ranger abilties aren't only applicable to forests- other wilderness like mountains, desert, etc work fine.

- You're given maps of the general area layout when you first enter Thera. If you've lost them and you're under level 11, see 'help outfit'. If you're level 11 or higher, they're available for sale in some towns fairly cheaply.
