I thought I saved the name of my character on my PC, but I did not. I'd reroll and start over, but I spent a good amount of time on this one, so it'd be nice to not have thrown that time away.

Is there any way to search a database, or anything to retreive the playername?

If you use a client of some sort, the first thing i do is:

#var name xxxxx

Then i always knows what the name was... ;-)

There really isn't much we can do from a game admin standpoint. As was suggested, you can perhaps ask around for someone who may have had a who list during one of your playing times.

A good idea is to always always always write down your characters name. Put it on a yellow sticky pad and put it on your monitor, your cat, hell even your TP for those who have it handy. However be warry about where you put your password as we've seen a few brethren and friends who happen to be over and steal a character or two from their family/friend.

Here, or the other place. It would help if you remember race and class also.
