Pen is only for creating physical notes you can hand to people. Obviously useful for roleplay purposes, but also for a few quests.

It also provides slightly better AC, which can aid your armor deflection and with other more specific abilities like a specific warrior legacy

>3. Move regen --- con, not dex, right?

I -believe- that the max about of moves is based on dex, but the regen is con. I may well be wrong.

>4. Any edges particularly helpful as a newb?

One of our IMPs suggested that he would take multiple low level edges over one or two expensive edges. His claim doesn't hold a lot of water, though, because his characters always managed to accrue a few zillion edges. As a newb, I can't recommend any one without knowing more about your character and what problems you are facing.

>5. Link to weapons ranked by usefulness for Parry?

Warrior Swords are your best parry option. Your best defensive options as a specced warrior might well be ranked as sword/polearm (giants)/staff/exotic(w/exotic legacy). If you are another class, your will probably get the best mileage out of sword/exotic + shield or a staff/spear.

>6. Any primer on grouping etiquette, basic tips (eg auto
>assist off if you're using mana and need to rest)

As a newb, do what your companions are doing and ask if you need help. The worst thing you can do is violate an expectation, for some people will destroy you for it instead of telling you what they need from you.

>7. Any cf acronym dictionary?

No, but that is a good idea.
