I'm the Operations Director for the "Internet Marketing" arm (www.k2interactive.com) of an advertising agency (www.kranzlerkingsley.com). Basically that entails:

1. Anything computer-related - servers, workstations, network equipment, etc. I occasionally even get asked to work on fax machines and video conferencing equipment (Which I love. Honest.).

2. Pseudo-production manager - make sure all web developers have stuff to work on and know what is next in line etc.

3. Bid-guy - when an Account rep wants to give an estimate to a prospective client for a website that includes A, B, C, D, NOT E, F, and a little G, I tell them how much that'll all cost.

4. Account Executive - about 50 percent of our clients deal directly with me, and I am responsible for adding a small portion of new business (definitely less new business than other AE's though).

5. Search Engine pay-per-click account work (do a search on Google for "indian casino marketing" and my parent company, Kranzler Kingsley, should come up under sponsored links).

That's mostly it. I also end up doing a lot of proofreading of email newsletters, websites, print ads, etc. Ad agencies need proofreaders more than you might think.
