Cool character. Whatever it was that made you appear to be only wearing a cloak was pretty cool. I don't know if it was the cloak itself or a Scarab thing but neat nonetheless.

I thought you had some great RP. Thanks for that little bet!

I'm not sure where the roleplaying or masterful playing came in. You basically rigged fights so that you couldn't possibly lose with pathetic negotiations. "Hey, me and this assassin want to gank your groupmates with our perma-lagging. Help us".

"Please don't loot my perma-lag buddy!"

"I've been watching you, Vritra and I've been impressed".

I see you convulsing at a healer and I acknowledge you to make the point that I'm cool with you. You're cool with that, aren't you?

Then, when you think you win an easy fight you tried to bash me, and got your #### kicked in (then) you delete immediately.

Where's the roleplay? Where's the badass? All I saw was a gang-banger who didn't take chances and tried to negotiate his way into unfair fights... With imm support. (sigh) Then on top of that you're going to whine about your connection? You're so full of ####! You didn't lose because of lag. You lost because you were bad in one fight. I hate liars. I hate players like you. I hate the fact you get rewarded by being such a cop out.

Emote til you get a tattoo...

How about you back up those emotes with a role of substance? Hmm? :) PLayers like you make me not want to play. Powergamers who get gifts from imms. All the wrong reasons for roleplaying.

Powergamers using roleplay to get boosts, but not actually roleplaying.

All these posts are making you look really bad and are doubtlessly creating complications for your active character.

Whatever ills you are claiming others are guilty of that "drive players away" are paled in comparison to your incessant whining in and out of character. Actions like yours (and not those you accuse) are what keeps me, personally, from wanting to play. I am probably not alone.

You've said your piece. The wise man would move on now.
99995, Oh please, Trip. You can't even use correct grammar. Not to mention, you post everything like a total douche. n/t

Deeply saddens me to see this. Our talk yesterday
was great, was really looking forward to more of them,
Now I've no one to help guide me through the fog.
Well played, and I'm sure we'll see you around again
soon.
99817, Yeah, it was definitely good.

I was hoping to prod you in the right direction, but the only master of the religion is Scarab himself and I showed you where to find him. Good luck!
99722, It was a fun ride.
Posted by TripHitNdip on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
I really really enjoyed this character. Probably my favorite as far as RP ever goes. It was my first giant and first sword spec, I always always play dexy races when I do warriors. They're definitely fun and I think the whole dex v. str argument really isn't discussable. They both have their strengths and weaknesses and you have to learn how to cater them like any class.

I never played a Scarab before but the religion and Scarabaeus as an Immortal is by far the most pleasant experience I've ever had on this game. I'm so sad I deleted, but I just can't keep hanging disconnecting every 10 minutes with my internet, there were a couple fights where zmud just froze and then it was a giant burst of text and I had to watch myself idle fighting people.

I'll just post goodbyes as they come up, but Scarabaeus, like I said, you were so awesome and thank you so much for all the attention you gave me. I'll save all our RP sessions to myself so people figure you out the fun way, but I appreciate the gifts you gave me and I hope I can come back with something I'm better with next time. I'm curious what made you go with Voice though, I was so confused with how I was supposed to start RP'ing it since I tried to always be dumb as #### and not really sociable.

Until the next one.

You were so bad ass, I loved RP'ing with you. You were the complete antithesis to my character, I really needed someone like you around pushing me and you did a fantastic job. Great all around RP/Toughness, I hope you start playing as much as you were because I really enjoyed you.

Sorry to see you go! I only interacted with you a bit but I was really curious to see how you'd play out long term. I've never had an opportunity to interact with a modern Scarabite, and all the Scarabites I've interacted with through the years have been sort of erudite and philosophical, even when wantonly violent. I thought it was kind of a new spin to see a big dumb giant who just "bought into the Cult" teaching blindly (which was kind of a paradox if you think about it, I thought) and I found it interesting. Good luck with your next and hope you get that 'net connection fixed soon.
99730, Appreciate it.
Posted by TripHitNdip on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Yeah I remember a lot of Scarabites from back in the day and I couldn't remember just some big dumb ass giant that tried to get it out in a different way so that was my angle, I really really liked my role, I felt like it was a perfect scarab role and is really the only reason I pulled the character off.

I thought you were neat, I even saved that whole conversation we had that one night because it helped me know where to go for the future with other people.

Props to you sir, and you probably are publishing the best notes I've ever seen on CF, so please keep it up.

Way to go, smarty pants
99758, How disappointing
Posted by Lohoq on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
I can't believe how many partial hits I got on you, I've been a bit reckless of late and you took advantage, right after you fled, then came back and started bashing I realized you popped a few preps and that I was dead, very well played. Overall we had some good interactions, I will say towards the end I was really obsessed with assassinating you, but alas, it was not meant to be. Feel free to hop on over to the Empire we need some skilled warriors/shadows. GLWTN
99816, Yeah, I got to the point of lowering myself...
Posted by TripHitNdip on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
And asking lowbie duergars and thieves if you were around when I logged on sometimes because I knew you'd be gunning for me right away.

If someone REALLY doesn't want you to assassinate them it's pretty hard, on almost all those partials I got 1-7 whois on you when you stepped out for eat/drink/open door or whatever it was. That kinda ruins it all when someone doesn't want to get assassinated that much to be so vigilant.

I liked your shadowy imperial RP though, we had some good talks, sorry I got mad about the you saying I linkdead killed Gropnik... I just very much knew I didn't and I always try and bolster's people's CF experience by leaving them alone when I know they're linkdead/never looting really or whatever else I can.

Good luck to your character.
99820, Yeah, I completely understand
Posted by Lohoq on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
I'll elaborate more when I pass on, but without seeing the actual fighting I just saw gropnik die, then did a who and saw him appear at the bottom (recently logged in) and jumped to a conclusion. Anyway, I thought you were a good char, and hilarious, a few times when I was stalking you and you would yell or say something that cracked me up. Don't engage in the flame wars with other characters, it's evident from the Imm perspective and most of the players that you put out a quality character. Come to the Empire already.

You're so full of it. Why'd you kill Gropnik 6 times and gang him with your perma twice? Are you trying to impress someone with this new angle of, "bolstering people's CF experience" ? You're personality shines right through your characters. You're a griefer.
99827, Which do you think has more of an impact.
Posted by N b M on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
A character that a noob knows is his enemy, giving him fights that he knows are coming his way...

Or a character that a noob thinks is an ally (Vritra), conspiring with that enemy and then turning on the noob to help kill the noob with the enemy, basically lure the noob into a defenseless position and destroying them when they have no hope of escape.

Because that second one is what Vritra did to Gropnik, and that low down underhanded Krilcov type action is way way way more underhanded than a known enemy picking fights with the noob.
99833, Dude you're acting like a 12 year old child
Posted by TripHitNdip on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
I killed him 6 times because my ENTIRE role was about hating priests. He stayed to fight me every single time and I never looted him once, the last time we fought he said..

"I'm just going to run now until I get stronger"
He finally learned!

And shut the #### up about ganking him... both of those fights were 2 v. 3 in his favor and I had every intention of staying until everyone was dead. Being out numbered is far from a gank.

You've successfully made everyone hate you in like three days, you're better off just shutting up now. It's like funnyone and Delalken had a baby.

Posted by Gaplemo on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
They can cry, and whine, and bitch all they want, but the imms liked your chars, so let them cry and whine and bitch in a corner alone. I didn't get to witness the chars but if Scarab and Cyradia say well done, I trust that the character was well done. They're just unhappy they can't amount to anything in CF so they cry when people do. So just let them hate and have confidence knowing you're better than them and they're jealous of you. If they want to find fault and be unhappy with everything, let them. It must be a sad, miserable existance. Personally I'm through responding to hate on death threads anymore, it does nothing but feed the trolls and get good characters death threads locked. Just keep the good characters coming man, and let the haters hate.

I like characters that are fun to watch even when no one else is around; it seemed that whenever I would watch over your shoulder, you were chatting with NPCs, emoting, and the like. What I appreciated is that it wasn't the cliché or what I call "haunted house" theatrics that people seem to associate with the Cult.

Regarding your early deletion, all I have to say is: "It's a trap!"

Cyradia suggested Voice to me and the idea tickled me. How interesting it would be to have a less-than-articulate Fire giant as Voice! Coupled with the need for some Cult proclamation, it just made sense.

One constructive criticism: most of the time you spoke giantspeak, but when I hit you with more complex ideas in conversation you would sometimes break into normal, human speech. I think it's a difficult thing to overcome. I tried playing an Orc and was impressed with how difficult it is to consistently speak like an unintelligent/brute creature. (For all the Orcs and Giants out there that regularly succeed in that, my hat is off to you.)

I AM SOOOOO DISSAPOINTED TO SEE THIS! Really enjoyed my interactions and fights with Caggy. I think we are/were pretty equally matched in terms of understanding PK mechanics, but your few levels and ability to exploit my vuln tipped it heavily in your favor. I finally got to the same level as you and got some decent non physical swords and you delete. *fistshake Trip*

Thanks to adding to the game for me, good luck with your next!

Well done.

I do feel I need to apologize for your repeatedly catching me out of character. I don't think any character has ever managed to send me tells so well timed to repeatedly get me replying to another imm about some mundane OOC thing as Caru. I'm sorry for the bumps that always puts in roleplay, even though you always let it roll off your back. I enjoyed our interactions.
99835, Yeah, I felt so freaking bad.
Posted by TripHitNdip on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Especially on the second one. The bumps were expected when I decided to talk to you. I've interacted with you on multiple characters and knew what you were about... I really enjoyed our interactions as well though.

As far as these:
Fri May 20 12:18:58 2011 by 'Cyradia' at level 35 (98 hrs):
You tell Cagubrak 'Are you trying to see what happens if you insult me, mortal?' (If you wanted to find out how to start out on my #### list...you just managed it)

Fri May 20 12:23:21 2011 by 'Cyradia' at level 35 (98 hrs):
That would make more sense if I'd pasted the right tell. - Cagubrak tells you: Hmmm, Lord never mentions you before. You is part of church?

From being a past player that knows most everything about how you handle things, I knew this was a bad move, but on Cagubrak... I decided to treat every IMM and player as if I had never heard of them before. I wasn't trying to get on your #### list, I just wanted to come off as some dumbass giant that was ripped away from CF's lore and knowledge of diety because he was snatched up by Scarabaeus as a youngling and nothing else ever mattered.

It's all good though, I really want to make another Cyradia follower.
99842, RE: Yeah, I felt so freaking bad.
Posted by Cyradia on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
I should clarify that was an "in character" #### list. Just like you were rping a 'nobody but Scar matters,' acting like I'm just someone you bumped into at the market isn't going to make IC Cyradia happy. :P
