There's two levels of this, in my mind. There's "I'm not going to rank unless its really the only thing available to me at the moment" and then there's "I just logged on hoping to kill some people, but now I realize that ranking is the only thing I can do. Guess I'll quit instead, and log back on tomorrow and hopefully have some people to kill."

The former is just expressing a preference for "anything but ranking"; the latter is sort of OOC.

I had zero interaction with Ilrek, so I have no idea which was his cup of tea. With the "double standard" comment I was more referring to the fact that he killed a lot of people. When an evil guy does that, people treat him with respect. When a good guy does that, it seems like gets called a no-RP jerk who's only concerned about PK.
