I'm fairly disappointed about this. I really liked this character.

I come out once every couple years, play a lighthearted healer, and disappear for awhile. This time I spend lurking.

You were fun. I was trying to hard to get an invoker inducted who would hero, but I know how bad the burnout rate is. I think I inducted five or six. Healer/Invoker is op.

I liked you. I like that you were always ready to go raid, and I liked that you didn't get discouraged when things didn't go well. I feel like I didn't get to know a lot of people very well because I played a lot during the day america time, but I did get to spend some time with you.

Maybe you will see me around again before long. I actually have another week before I start work, but I just don't think I was going to be able to have the time commitment for a leader, and this character didn't have the right role to do it in a way I felt I could be very proud of. Fezzle was not the best of the best, and was rolled that way (awhile back Nep said something about how no one rolls a char to be a pk failure and snickered pretty hard).

Sorry your branch was full of invokers when you got leadered, I don't know how many spots I left you but it was impressed upon me that I should try to populate the sunwardens a little, so I did my best.

So, I got a call back to work after being laid off since june. Between that and some other things I am doing now, I don't have the time I did, so it was the right time (also my healeritis sets in at about 270 hours, that's when I deleted grollaski, still my favorite of my small army of healers).

Yean is cool. I had a lot of fun with her, some great chats with Borkhad too. There was a chat with three or four of her followers, her, and borkahd, and at the end B told me I was the only one who didn't say anything stupid, and considering the sheer verboseness of fezzle, that was some accomplishment. I'll write up my take on gnomish history and email it to you for lycuim/shrine publication sometime soon.

There are a lot of new healer sups since I last heroed one (I thin it was a sylvan amaranthe follower back in the day). The healer edges were a lot of cool. I think I had a great search and rescue build, and as long as I stayed out of fights and payed attention I kept people alive. Logging in first thing in the morning before coffee, or after coming home from the bars got some people killed, but mostly I did okay I think.

I liked Sylvan back in the day, but had never gotten the hang of outlander. The whole three alignment cabal thing seemed kinda tough, especially as the neutral healer trying to keep everyone alive.

I know I was no Quird. I was no Starkad, and for those who have posted somewhat snide comments in Bergelmers thread, I was second choice to baldrien. Baldrien had real life stuff come up. I think it's possable bergelmer let the char go because he didn't get leadered (seriously, everyone thought it would be him or baldrien). That said, they picked me so everyone who didn't like it can bite me. Deciding who to induct was tough for me. I didn't want people to become discouraged and not play because they couldn't roll the character they wanted because there were already too many outlanders. On the other hand, I also realize we were a huge cabal, and it would be kinda unfair to go so huge we were indomitable. Had fun, will probably go for this cabal again when I have time to play. Or maybe a tribunal. I just hate that ####ing cabal, but I ought to give it a try. As anyone who spooked me can verify, I sit in one place a lot and am very boring, so I might be good at it.

I'll reply to people who post here, not sure who all I want to say goodbye too right now. Had fun, imms were great. One comment though, since Krilkov can't post here. You're an asshole. Your characters are assholes. No one misses you. It takes a special kind of ####o to spend his time locating corpses so he can run and try to loot them before you get back too it.

Oh, and thank you to enlilth for all the prostitutes, the wolves in prosimy were running out of villagers anyways.

I'll post some logs too. I have one of me killing an orc chieftain that makes me pretty proud. I also have the log of my empowerment interview, but it was with Grobbaks druid, so I will send it to you if you like, but I don't think i will publish that one.

89491, because of you i quit outlander for a while
Posted by stormranger on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
I really appreciate the "IC" outing of a previous character and those who I was as a player by default.

I thought you were a hose from day one. Ah well so the imms got it wrong, it happens.
89492, no idea what you're talking about.
Posted by dwimmerling on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Could be your sucky sentence construction, If you are talking about me talking about old gnomes I played, I also talked a lot about gnomes I didn't play. Got a name? How about the balls to sign your whine?
89497, I'll make it simple for you.
Posted by Stormranger on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
During an interview with my storm giant ranger you, in front of another character, basicly said. "Oh, you were Kethkarathas's player"

Pretty ####ing lame and a violation of the rules. There wasn't anypoint complaining about it at the time so I just deleted and moved on. But that was pretty ####ing lame.
89501, Hah, I have the log. You're a crybaby, and wrong.
Posted by dwimmerling on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
I didn't know you were that guy, I really did have you mixed up since you were talking to me from camo, but now that I know you were I'm glad I didn't induct you. So how much of your role DID you recycle for this character? The really sad part is I was ready to induct you before you opened your mouth.

This is the part where I out you, and an afk from right before. This leaves out me REPEATEDLY asking you questions about outlander (you can see where zhane repeats the question too), while you rattle off your role. If you want, I can post that part in it's entirety too.

"Someone says 'Ye got me mixed up with another handsome Storm.'"

Looks like you were the one who referred to your previous character first. Way to stay ic.
89506, Actually, I looked it up and kethsomething was a wood elf
Posted by dwimmerling on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
who rage deleted after 60 hours because someone full looted him. And insisted that the imms ban anyone who says they are going to full loot you. Then he said he was taking a break. This is part of why it never occurred to me they were the same person.
89523, You know, I look for lies all day long.
Posted by Stormranger on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
And when people are trying to hide them they will gird them with seeming truths.

It's funny you mention Keths race because I was going to point out how absurd it was for you to make an IC connection between a Storm giant and a wood-elf ranger you had interacted with and iirc inducted.

You are a liar, it's patently obvious, to me at least. I'll go ahead and consign you to my ignore list.
89505, So let me get this right...
Posted by Stormranger on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
You post a log proving what I say is true and I'm the crybaby?

I didn't have good interactions with you over three characters this was just the icing on the cake.

I give you credit for trying to make it seem as if you accidently mentioned Keth outloud as a response to the bard.

Don't church it up son, you're a poor sport plain and simple.
89508, We had no idea why you threw the fit.
Posted by dwimmerling on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
I really thought it was because I made the comment about talking to trees or whatever. When you corrected me I even shook my head and said sorry. How the #### do you think I would know you were the same dude?

You wouldn't shut up, and you wouldn't answer my questions. That reminded me of the ranger that blew it not too long ago. I said so. You split. Stop trying to make it sound like I had some inside knowledge to hose you.

This mud does not revolve around you.
89521, I didn't throw a fit.
Posted by Stormranger on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
I just called it quits.

You're not very convincing. There was no reason for you to bring up Keth.

You'd just bitched on Keths thread like 12 hours before and went out of your way to bring him up.

You were intentionally telling me you made the connection, and I can only surmise your reason was to ruin my immersion into the character.
89527, I didn't even post in your goodbye thread.
Posted by dwimmerling on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
My impression of keth was that he was pushy, bossy, and wouldn't shut up. Since that was all I had to say, I didn't bother because you didn't piss me off THAT much.

You roll another character, that in an interview basically tells me 'No, I won't talk with you, I will talk at you' and I said 'You remind me of X'. You leave without a word. tell me 'whatever' and quit.

You then do this.

Stop stealing my damn goodbye thread. There are people I would actually like to chat with about my character, and you are detracting from that because you, I dunno, need to be the center of some drama and you think I messed with you.

I'm glad I found a place to expand on it. If there is a race that should be player playable that isn't, it's the dranettie. But there are plenty of neutral gnome races :).

Again, great, experience. Glad I got to fight a Yark. Even if it took a few restores. Gimme a break, I get two attacks a round!

I will be around, I just don't have the time to play a leader right now. SO happy I finally got one though. FEAR the healer with insects, at least when I had a staff of striking.

Daddy got run over by an owlbear, walking home from our tree yuletide eve. . .

We both made a great team. Did some mean things together. I'd dare say we were quite unbeatable against any odds. You were a little green with the healer bit or maybe I was impatient and just asked for things before you communed them. But I remember a few times getting killed or almost getting killed because you were too slow. But you know what? I loved that. Thanks for not being a BOT. You made a friendly, approachable healer and a great gnome to hang out with. You brought fun to the cabal and overall I think you did an awesome job. I pretty much will delete now that you are gone...especially since I've not been logging in since almost a month either.

Great Job.

We were an awesome team. Remember that group teleport thing I did that you had never seen before?

Most of the greenness came from waking up and logging in before I was really awake. Or playing after I got home from the bars. That seems to be when I saw you, at like 2am or 9am.

Had lots of fun with you though.

I hope to run into your characters again in future. I think we both play to have fun (and not at the cost of other people's fun).

Good char! Come back soon.
89490, You were cool
Posted by dwimmerling on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Had good fights with you, I had trouble with whip specs and their super lash. Never got my skill in it up very high, which probably didn't matter, but was still frustrating. Sometimes I just get spammy. I was always more worried about everyone else in the group than myself anyways. Add in friends who are too low a level to group with, and healing gets even harder. nice to know I lasted long enough for people to interact with me with three characters though!

Take care!
