For taxing me 1 con every day. I was trying to play this character out with no cabal members around. But you just made me really ####ing hate playing.

I can honestly say it was a pleasure with you, I was Always, and I Mean ALWAYS on my toes expecting you to turn on me at any moment.

From an OOC look i'm Sorry I didn't always defend your enemies, it just wouldn't have fit who Wegge is.

I got a great persona from you, and while I know you burned out think you had some general potential.
You were always willing to mix things up, and I got that "I'm an Evil Imperial Bastard" vibe from you constantly.

Can say much more because I'm not planning on bailing soon, but Good Luck With Your Next!
82036, I felt bad using you, a herald, for help with my foes.

I like the oh the boss is going to be mad at me approach.
say Earthbind Daenung
gt Earthbind Daenung
tell Wegg Damnit earthbind him
hehe

Thanks for not getting mad at me giving out many orders, but there are things that need to be done at the exact time, during combat. And that dwarf was a very rascaly and nimble fella.

Few things ...

1.) People summoning your servitors is a down side of playing that class.

2.) Evil people backstab their group mates

3.) Empire guys grouping with scion guys is going to draw empire god's attention.

in the case of 2 and 3. Enlilth clearly assumed he was doing it to lead the scion guy to his death, and demanded as much. I suppose I could have dropped the anath on poor Syjak, but he's been sticking it out, and, oddly enough, handling getting beat down by obviously ridiculously OP owl form (that's sarcasm krilcov) or whatever craptastic odds he's seen the last week or so pretty darn well (for THIS player anyway).

4.) I don't get why you weren't trying to kill Syjak yourself.

>2.) Evil people backstab their group mates

The unfortunate corollary to this is that they frequently delete shortly thereafter. Especially if the person they betrayed has a class advantage against them and/or is a more experienced player.

As a scion I don't have a problem with Imperials until they strike the Chasm. The arcane sect betrayed the empire so they have the problem, not us. As a scion applicant I don't know if they have struck the chasm so I will yolk their strength as much as I can before RP dictates it is too difficult to do.

-----Abernyte

P.S. Are you back and active now? I made a followerer and you went awol and had just given up on trying but if you are back it might lift the spirits a bit!

I think you have to accept that you're playing with fire when you do though, don't you?

That is to say, if you're a Scion and I'm an Empire, and I don't know you're Scion but you obviously know I'm Empire and you ask me to group and I turn on you and kill you . . . really, you took advantage of me first. It's not unusual for Empire grouped with Scion to be demoted even if they weren't wise to it.

In this situation, he asked me.

I am guessing he had it all planned out to begin with, and while it was slick, from an OOC perspective, its just a douche move, period.

Wouldn't you say that posting the log immediately afterward like you did, leaving his name in, on the forums is a douche move, as well? Why not deal with it in the game?

Keeping in mind I've never played scion necro...

Shouldn't scion necro be trying to kill everything that moves?

I'm active for the most part. Email/note me if you're having trouble finding me, I'll definitely keep an eye out for you. I've been making it a point to be vis a little more lately.

Considering how hard it is to rank a necro in cabals like Scion at times...
He should not.

I had about 3 friends outside of the cabal total, out of all the people to come/go in my PK/Group range.

2 shifters and a bard.

Yes, I was desperate to get to Spectre.

"Considering how hard it is to rank a necro in cabals like Scion at times..."

Again, I'm of the thought that that's part of the trade-off for the super good scion power set. Just yesterday there was discussion of how scary scion lich could be. Keep in mind I'm completely ignorant on this combination... Probably something I should fix at some point.
81955, RE: About 4)
Posted by Cadothu on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Keeping in mind that this was my first scion and my first necro. I've got no experience with either, nor do I really know the history of past Scion necros, nor am I those players.

Considering our history, I thought you would have known my playstyle. Come on I was like 1-4 with Alietrius and 1-10+ with Greikyn.

I'm not a PK beast or anything and I was walking neck deep in unfamiliar territory. I'm going to try to make as many allies as I can, because 90% of the rest of my range was already gunning for me first.

Handling air forms is easy!
You just need to learn forgotten elitist knowledge how to deal with them! Ask Klaak or Daevryn himself!

*sarcasm off* I think the number of air/offense shifters and their percentage among all shifter combinations indicates the probability of certain underestimated issue.

As tempting as it is to be sarcastic, 7% of all shifters doesn't seem like an epidemic to me.

81846, Actually
Posted by Dwoggurd on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
I consider air/offense and 47 necroses as a weapon against level 40 levelsitters, so it's not necessary a bad thing.

But I think air/tiger or something like that is an overkill. Plus it affects people who didn't intend to levelsit.
Maybe change it so air/offense combo gains second major form at 51? In this case you ether have to grief people with tier1-air/tier2-offense or walk/fly with a tier2-air plus tier1-offense.
81847, I actually think Offense/Defense or Defense/Offense ...
Posted by PedroCerrano on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
...is the most popular combo.

Though I'd say 95% of all Air/Offense is Human :)

I'll leave it up to you to figure out why.
81850, Eh
Posted by Dwoggurd on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
We both know that you pay statisticians to get biased reports! }(

7% out of "5!" combinations is still significant.
And to get it close to reality you need sort out all sub-hero-range shifters and all explore/storage shifters.
It can be 3 active air/offensive and 10 inactive utility/defense who are only used to locate or explore once per week/month.
Not that I ask you to do that calculation :)

>7% out of "5!" combinations is still significant.

So, you count 120 different focus combos. I see only twenty five. Five majors times five minors is twenty five combos. If they would all be played equally much, it would average 4% per combo, with offense/air+air/offense getting 8% for the random of the random chances if added together. I don't know if the given 7% includes offense/air as well but that doesn't seem terribly much to me.
81868, Probability calculations
Posted by Mathematician on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
This is a two-step probability calculation:

First choice - 1 out of 5
Second choice - 1 out of 5, independent of first choice

Hence, number of permutations = 5 * 5 = 25.
Therefore probability = 1/permutations = 1/25.
81869, Agreed
