For ya

BATTLE] Borkahd: When strong warrior fall, give honor by carry body on shield. Take to bonefire.

Iunna nods grimly, a serious mood overcoming her features.

The War Room
This spacious hut is dominated by a large rectangular table that lies in the
exact center, surrounded by well-worn chairs of rough carved wood. Gently
swaying lanterns hang from iron hooks driven into the supporting beams of
the roof, flooding the table with bright light while leaving the corners in
shadows. A large plaque of polished steel has been affixed to the north wall,
above a wide fireplace. A giant tapestry depicts combat forms and hangs
upon the eastern wall while a blood-red curtain rests along the western wall
depicting an ancient battle. Almost hidden in the shadows of the southeast
corner is a large book resting open upon a stand.

Brilliant white energy swirls around, taking the shape of a diminutive fela.
(WANTED) Uggro the fire giant is here.
Woldrun the cloud giant is here.
Borkahd the fire giant is here.
Bedekleae the fire giant is here.

Borkahd says raising his deep voice 'A warrior has moved from this realm today!'

Uggro sighs.

Borkahd says growling softly 'Grawshen was strong. Maybe smell, maybe talk lots.'

Borkahd says 'But was strong. Brave.

You sigh.

Borkahd says 'Had rage inside, not afraid shed blood.'

Borkahd says glancing about slowly 'Maybe some not know good. But I remember lots of fights. Lots of blood, and skulls.'

Borkahd says 'Remember when lost voice, was source of strength. Taught many thing.'

Borkahd says 'Know in hardship, strength grows. He learned that. Not all warrior do.'

Woldrun nods

Vexarrin nods solemnly.

Borkahd says with a firm nod as he takes a step towards the corpse 'We lift his battle-scarred body together. Place on shield.'

Borkahd reaches down, taking the corpses right arm.

Woldrun easily hefts the left side of the duergar.

Vexarrin gently takes the left leg.

Bedekleae bends slowly to heft the corpse.

Borkahd says as he lifts the corpse 'Onto shield he goes.'

Iunna watches in silence.

Borkahd moves with the others, resting the limp and bloodied corpse onto the shield.

Borkahd says reaching under the shield to lift it 'Up, and out of war room.'

Blood Square
The soft warmth of the sun fills this bloodied and ancient square. The
earth is cracked and the ground is stained, yet this was once the heart
of the village and is marked as such by the blood that reddens the earth.
Barbarian children hardly notice your presence as they wrestle and run in
the square, so intent are they on their war-games and fun. Sparse weeds
grow along the northern edge of this square, becoming denser as you
approach the building that lies in that direction. To the south is a hut
from which plumes of smoke and ash drift into the deep blue skies. To the
west is another hut, secluded from the more traversed portions of this
village and draped with the furs of exotic animals. The path continues
east, leading toward one of the clusters of huts that make up the bulk of
the village.

Bedekleae the fire giant is here.
(WANTED) Uggro the fire giant is here.
Woldrun the cloud giant is here.
Brilliant white energy swirls around, taking the shape of a diminutive fela.
Borkahd the fire giant is here.

Borkahd says nodding as he lowers the shield 'I will start fire.'

Iunna shakes her head.

Iunna says 'Tha's mine.'

Borkahd moves to a large pile of corpses and tinder then pauses, nodding at Iunna.

Vexarrin weeps softly.

Borkahd says as he watches grimly 'If have words to say, tell Grawshen. Until body gone, spirit will hear.'

Vexarrin steps forward.

Amidst the Village, a diminutive fela kneels before a bloodied and battered corpse.

Iunna sighs quietly.

Vexarrin bends gently, kissing the corpses cold forhead.

You whisper 'Rest well, you have earned it warrior.'

Vexarrin steps back.

Bedekleae roughly bangs two maces together and the sound echoes throughout the village, fading slowly.

lowly, gently, lovingly, she touches the corpse with a single paw, setting it ablaze.

Uggro says with his voice slowly fading 'Em was fargin strong, em wus gud comrad, muh will fargin miss yuh Grawshen. '

Borkahd says as the flames grow 'Grawshen has earned right to rest, embraced by his goddess.'

Bedekleae says 'We brothers and sisters deal in death. It chases us always, but hims brought more than he suffered. Was good life!'

Borkahd says with a soft growl 'Only way leave Village with honor, is by fire.'

You whisper 'My next kill will be in his name. His honor'

Iunna says 'Th'damn crazy bastard.'

Woldrun says 'I know you can hear me.'

Woldrun says 'I never got to tell you this.'

Woldrun says 'Even though you deserved to hear it.'

Iunna gestures briefly with her paws, causing the flames to leap and dance wildly.

Woldrun says 'You smelled bad, and fought worse. And you were my friend. And a True Villager.'

Woldrun grins evilly.

Grumna whispers to you 'I name meh first kins afters.'

Borkahd says grumbling out a seldom heard chuckle 'Agree, did smell. But usually smell of blood. Not many hear my compliment, but was strong.'

Borkahd says with a booming shout 'Warriors, know Grawshen the Black Dragon! Sing name in battle song, remember! We mark his passing, it is complete...he is gone!'

Iunna drops her paws, letting the flames die.

Borkahd whispers 'May all Thera hear drums, may they know fear even in his death.'

This was a ride. Grawshen was very, very fun to play. I did get pissed off a few times, but mainly at myself. I can think of no real ooc problems with any of my enemies. The Outlanders sort of annoyed me a bit by coming after me in ganks and then getting pissed off when I would respond by striking them when I saw them. But then again, the leadership of a cabal wears off on its members.

As a caveat on my pk, I tried to pk ONLY alone. Solely alone. I dont know if I succeeded, but I like to think I did.

Grawshen was interrupted as well pretty late in his life by some real life issues, but such happens.

Anyway. Thoughts on the combo:

Riddle was very nice. Very, very nice. A lifesaver(literally). If you have riddle, you will never die from bleeding. Ever.

Fires on the other hand was sort of meh. Some fights I'd see it kick in, but I'd say it was only affective about 20% of my fights. That said, sometimes it was very noticeable. I remember a few times tanking ganks at the end of my hp for 5-10 rounds as they quite literally killed me with lag damage. So, to each his own. If I could do it again, I'd probably replace fires with something like Gates.

On to the Goodbyes:

Iunna: First, of course. You and I talked probably more times than I fought. And you taught me so much. As a player, the only thing I really want as far as immeraction is talking, and you were always up for that. As a result, I learned a LOT of CF history that I would never have learned otherwise, and you taught me a lot about the history of legacies. Also, I think I *really* get your religion now, unlike with Kanrue where I simply thought I understood it. I hope the tournament was as fun for you as it was for me(even if the output was kinda shoddy). You, quite literally made this character and I would have probably given up/wasted away if it wasnt for our talks and quips. Thanks again for being an amazing immortal as far as roleplay went.

Yean: I got the feeling that you werent a fan of Grawshen, but than you tossed me that compliment about fighting Kassibaz on the CB. So who knows, regardless even if I rarely felt your presence I liked what I did see. Glad someone is watching over Village, regardless.

Dolce: I generally liked Dolce a lot. That said, you did get a bit sore when you were on the losing end of something(weapon break/death/looting) but you were probably my one of my best foes.

Sarien: I really liked you. You were extremely honorable(which was helpful). You were always down for a chat, and you and I had a really good enemy relationship. I hope the Fort prospers under you, but like I said in person, you're the only Maran around who I was worried about fighting.

Borkahd: You were a very strong, good commander. I liked you a lot. Ironically, you were the only villager I never fought in the circle, and I really wish we had.

Goroel: HAR! I liked you. I liked you a lot, I liked your style and roleplay to the point where I had to conciously remind myself that 'hes a dwarf, hate him'. Mad props to you, and good luck w/ Iunna and the village.

Woldrun: You were my idol. At lvl 30, watching you MANHANDLE ganks, I wanted to be you. I never achieved your badassery, but I did enjoy running with you. Thanks for the pwent/sabres in the late 20s. It made me a wrecking ball(though, I did reget it from people who killed me a handful of times, it still got me started)

Malthalia: Thank you for the help you gave me, and your help with the con quest

Fyeereth: We didn't interact much, since Grawshen and Iktul had a heated history, he sort of hated you. But I did appreciate your help with the con quest.

Its getting late. I'll post more tomorrow, and I'll try to respond to any who post.

Thanks for the fun, Shamanman.

Thanks. I really enjoyed Grawshen as well, loved the RP. Most duer RP just annoys me but you pulled it off nicely. For what its worth, you got some echoes and I led a Rite of Passing for you in the Village.
Good luck with the next!

And as a side note, we fought once in the arena. Maybe since it was over so quick you didn't remember. :P
77934, Thanks
Posted by Grawshen on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Thanks a lot for the rite of passing. I just read it and thats really special to me, I really appreciate it.

As an aside, I dont remember that :P, but I'll take your word for it.

Good luck with Immland!

I knew the end was coming, which sucked, and I didn't want it to come. I really enjoyed the banter and, well, everything about Grawshen. I was able to get over the whole duergar/dwarf thing because I saw you as a comrade, even a brother, because of our common goals so I was trying to get you to like me more.

I did have something awesome to show you though, but you up and died too quick, which is a bitch. Its people like you that make me love the village so much, and enjoy playing this game.

In the end I think the only thing left to say is..... 2 - 1 my way in the arena! Woo! Suck it! :P

GLWYN or whatever else you do now!
77935, RE: Ah damn!
Posted by Grawshen on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Heh. Is it really 2-1 you? Sonnuva a bitch. You were tough though.:P We were like polar opposites of the same build Duerg/dwarf sword. It was fun fighting you though.

Good luck with everything in the village.
77900, I luuuuved you, though.
Posted by Fyeereth on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
I really wish we'd interacted more because the instant you'd made up your mind that you hated me, I made mine up that I'd get on your good side. Maybe I did a little near the end. (Yes? :D) Either way, you seemed to always be having fun. Awesome character.
77936, RE: I luuuuved you, though.
Posted by Graw on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Grawshen was grudgingly deciding you were useful. I always did have fun, and I have NO ####ing idea how you knew where the ####ing flower and holly root was. Jesus christ, those were hidden.

What a ride, kid. I'm glad I taught you so much, though I have no
idea how, especially when I couldn't remember half the #### you
asked me. :P I do know I learned a lot from you. Yean once joked
about how if you were online, no one could snoop you because I
was always watching you, pretty much to the point of being
oblivious to everything else going on. You looked like you had
so much fun, and I had a blast just living vicariously through it.
You definitely made me want to drop everything, play a Rager
and raise hell anywhere and everywhere. If I ever find time for
another mort, I'm definitely going to kick it 'zerker style.

All that aside, you know where you stand in the grand scheme of
Iunna followers, and congrats on dethroning Yikoti of that sacred
pedestal. Tradition as always dictates a song. I think I listed two
in your history, but really you got your own playlist. It's as fitting a
tribute as I can manage to Iunna's favorite.

So here's one:

I'm shook, I know, I pushed when I shoulda' pulled
Took it all back if I could, I put that on my soul
And I would make a top-notch good listener
If you could block-off a little time out to give it here
Since we went our separate paths
I've hit a couple snags that remind me of the past
I can't front, I'm havin' a blast
But damned if I ain't afraid of how long it's gonna last

- Atmosphere, Yesterday

The rest, well. The playlist is here.

Lastly, sorry I killed you twice that day as Padwei. You have no
idea how ####ty I felt about that. Sigh.

I remember you killing me as Padwei. I think I might owe you an apology as well, I believe that was one of the days where my temper may have been showing.

Thanks for everything, again, and the playlist is really fun too.

No one sane should be leaving a rager berserker warrior avg 20+ weapons and enough gear to easily get over 50 damroll without any buffs but that's exactly what was happening over and over. You had no room to complain when it didn't.

Heh..rest assured, I had nothing against Grawshen at all. I admit to not watching you overly much, but that was only because Iunna was already giving you so much love, I figured I'd channel my energy into others who were getting less attention.

What I did see of Grawshen though, I liked. You died a hell lot (Iunna and I kept a close watch on your con, and even had a system of sorts to inform her should you be down to your last death and she wasn't around :p), but it was clear you were having fun so kudos. I could also tell you were getting the hang of Graw's pk towards the end, and the fights got more exciting to watch.

You did well, and are welcome back to the cabal anytime you like. We need crazy people like you to maintain zerker reputation :p

You sure could make a girl smile. Thanks for that thing and wish the other thing had worked out. Sorry about that last thing.
77913, Enjoyed our battles...
Posted by Dolce on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Coming up the ladder, you and Dolce were great enemies, and the battles were a ton of fun. Sorry you thought I was a bit whiny regarding broken weapons and such... I'll try and work on it some.

I do think I discussed stuff like that a bit more with you because even though we were enemies, I kinda felt we were friends too.

Anyways, I thought you were a beast and a nuisance. Especially when there were times I killed you, looted nothing, and then the second you unghosted you'd come knock on the Vanquisher again and I'd have to drop everything I was trying to do to get back to fight you... again.
77938, RE: Enjoyed our battles...
Posted by Graw on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Yeah, though I shouldn't be throwing stones from my glass house. I'm sure when I died and lost gear I liked I made some bitchy comments of my own.

And about the nuisance thing: Sorry, I tried to avoid that unless I had a purpose besides fighting you(taking the codex/head/other imperials on to pk)

Good fighting, regardless.
77944, No prob... it was fun.
Posted by Dolce on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
You were a beast, and I needed to prep to the teeth (well, at least as well as my usual-battle player knows how to prep allows) in order to fight you.

I remember one of our first battles I steamrolled you. A battle a few days later I underestimated you and you steamrolled me. After that day I was very careful when fighting you and always tried to have stoneskin/shield up. Once you thirsted, you were a monster bitch to fight.

GLWYN.
77917, So much fun.
Posted by Firhindil on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Your roleplay and banter was very well done. You had just the right amount of disdain that eventually turned into grudging respect. You helped bring my roleplay up a notch when you were around. Great attitude, too, for the most part. I loved that you were always out picking a fight and doing something - I just wish it had been a bit less shamanman-tastic so you would still be alive.

Glad I 'saved' you from Kassibaz last night. I hope that gave you a few extra hours of playing. I knew, somehow, that I would wake up this morning with either you or Woldrun on this board...

Cheers.

I felt like the Village was about to lose some a stalwart or two. Looks like I was right with Grawshen going out and Borkahd immorting. You best stick around though! You have too much to teach too many to kill.

As a player...I really really liked Grawshen. As sarien, I gave Grawshen as much respect as I possibly could. When I knew you had but one death to go...I pretty much steered clear of killing you, even though it seemed like you invited me to fight by telling me where you were. I saw Anliltuel and you fighting upon eastern, and then was at the village to fight bedeakle, and you passed me and I didn't strike on purpose. Kudos to you for going out with a bang..and good luck on the next.

Good luck with the Fort.

Whewwww. That was a mean char you threw down. I could tell you were having a lot of fun post getting your voice taken and back again. We fought a bunch and Yean was right in that you finally got a grasp about how to kick my feathered butt back and forth. That final time at the Island I was going to try a nasty little surprise but it didnt pan out exactly as I had hoped.

You were exactly what I thought a berserker should be, bloodthirsty, rude, and scary.

Enjoyed fighting you, hope you find your way to the good side (Nexus ok?)

I realy liked you. I know that we did not speak much, but our battles were great. That time you retrieved by yourself over something like an hour real time was epic and truely stands out in my mind as one of my all time village defining moments. You always fought with little to no regard for your own safety and often came out on top. CON death was really the only way to go for you.

Great enemy. Great villager. Thank you for the good times.
