7578, Damn you imms!

One of my prime reasons for deleting was no-dive. Two days later you let duergar travel underwater. Argh!

As I said...consider it one of the reasons it was actually changed. It has been on my list for so long I'd forgotten about it. :P
Besides you don't know how it works yet...you may still hate it ;)

7580, What next, Valguarnera touting Glarek as the ideal
Posted by Young Nastyman on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Valguarnera follower? A Glarek statue in the Imperial ruins? Maybe a Glarek mob in Kteng's laboratory...
Why is it that every time I delete a shaman something happens within a week that makes me regret it?

I really never got to see you in action other than the roleplay between you and myself which I enjoyed thoroughly. As for the whole, alignment goes out the window in a Cabal thing, I don't believe that either...I tried very hard to portray that I couldn't stand you....and I think you felt the same way about me.
Either way, thanks for making things more interesting.

Heh, I still get a chuckle everytime I look at your name. Many people do apparently.

A number of factors contributed to this deletion, in order of contribution...
1) The feeling that somewhere along the line I lost the Valguarnera-follower direction I was originally planning on taking. 2) Not really liking playing an evil character. I've played for 6+ years and I think I've had 1 evil hero and innumerable good heroes. 3) No-dive. I hate it, it sucks ass, it's the single worst idea to grace CF since the conception of TLB. 4) Ranking a duergar (no-dive and evil) through the 40's became less and less appealing over time. Not being able to hit spirits blows and my disintegrating relationship with battleragers (Who I have hated since my time on CF began) was making Aridhol and Storm Giants infinitely less appealing. 5) Getting ganked down by ragers.
I'm not sure how many times I died, but it was less than 6, probably less than 5. I distended at rank 11 without empowerment which is a sad commentary about something, I'm not sure what. People who die to somebody with one attack, blindness, and poison, should delete and play Progress Quest.
Valguarnera - My empowerment was cool. I liked arguing with Calif alot and I'm glad you got to see it (assuming you were watching the room and not just sending me pechoes from afar). I don't think I ever really had a full grasp on the religion, Zulghinlour probably would've been the better choice for Glarek but I know you're around just so damn much that it's hard not to choose you to follow.
Tribunals - Yeitrai - Glarek had a lot of plans for manipulating you. When you moved me from Hamsah to Galadon because I traded some sleeves of Harrapia to you Glarek had a weakness to utilize and planned on using it often. - Eskelian - I thought you were too soft for a Vindicator, but from what I see on your thread you had a plan going in and was following it. I was going to be far more ruthless, seeking out criminals with a singular devotion and never returning a God damned thing. I probably would've never gotten Vindie anyhow, but it was my aim. - Goodies - I asked Yeitrai if I could kill you outside of town, she said "no", I was pissed. I would've attacked you every time you left the city had she left me, that was just what Glarek was about. Somebody brought up that people forget everything about their race and align when they enter a cabal. You see good battleragers getting along with evil battleragers and so on. Glarek wanted to be different, but wasn't allowed to carry it out as far as he'd have liked.
Enemies I had few real enemies, maybe because I didn't care enough one way or another about who hated me to be enemies with them.
Javan - Glarek hated you 1) because you were good, 2) because you ganked down Stargher when he was linkdead and thus had some nice loot and 3) because you were "slothful", always sitting in the Inn hiding and whatnot. I actually got banned from the Inn, which is why I never came in after you again. NOTE TO HERALD IMMS: I'm not sure how many times I attacked him in there, but it seemed like less than 10 and that seems like too few to get perm-banned.
The rest...yeah.
Maybe I'll play again, maybe not...if I do it'll be a goodie...evil is bad karma.

I enjoyed you and Deigreck. I respected how you approached joining Tribunal, and thought it pretty clever. I don't like tools, and you weren't one, so I went with it. Glad I did.
About the sleeves- I was so dang anxious to see my hp break 1100, I just had to do it :) I put my gear on the line everytime I log in, so at least it went to good use. Galadon was yours regardless of the deal or not, but I was willing to press the matter for my advantage.

Or roles put us at odds from the start but I hate to see you go. We had some great opprunity for roleplay as we both advanced and would have been very worthy enemies. Not often the realms get to see two duergar shamans fighting it out. Anytime someone roleplays as well as I felt you did in our brief encounters it elevates the players around them. The spire is missing out on a great asset with your deletion.

as soon as i got back at equal ranks with you, you go and delete, now i know i'm a fearsome beast :-P but really? about the inn thingy... why shouldn't you get banned for repeated attacks in the inn? since your char obviously doesn't respect the rules of the inn, i can see no reason for you to have access to it. ooh and by the way i need to roll myself a shaman i've had wet dreams about em for years.

I'm going to miss you, you know I went hand to hand as my second spec 'cause I got so sick of you dropping both my axes with one wither? I figured I could stun and run if need be.
I didn't spend all my time in the Inn, just the one day, mostly because for that day I had no one to travel with and almost my whole pk list was evil. Besides, the fights were fun.
That time you got me in the Underdark, Bah! I knew you were coming! I could see you outside the inn waiting, I just didn't expect the shifter to come aswell. About Stargher, I didn't know he was linkdead, I just started tripping, and normally I try loot as little as possible but I had a near naked invoker with me. Anyway, at hero I'm sure Stargher is gonna hand my arse to me plenty of times.

Ah well...another of the few evils that will group with me gone. Was fun whacking Javan with you, other than that it was mostly sitting around Galadon waiting...and waiting...and waiting...and hoping for a group...and waiting...and waiting...
Yeah, Tribunal is fun if you like waiting :P
