I haven't so much as looked at anything CF-related in years. Then a confluence of events left me sitting around with a little bit of spare time and nothing else to do. I have a couple friends that still play on occasion, and they convinced me to roll something up casually, and so Ferian was born.

As a character he was really quite boring and uninspired, and not particularly worthy of comment, so that's about all I'll say about that. I did enjoy myself though, and had some good fights that got the blood pumping a bit. It's funny how random the things are that I forgot/remembered. I'd find myself recalling the most obscure things, while at the same time not remembering how to navigate the Underdark to get to the areas that I wrote. :P

Anyway, I may be back with another character in the future, but whatever I do will probably be doomed to lurk in the background like Ferian did. Between full-time work, full-time school and a fiancee, I just don't have time to do more than log on occasionally. Which is actually what brought me back in the first place, since I had been playing Eve Online; unfortunately Eve is possibly the most time-consuming game in the universe. You can't log in and get in to serious combat without dedicating three or four hours without interruption, and I just can't do that these days. With CF however, it is feasible (maybe not preferable, but feasible) to log in for an hour's fun, so...

See everyone around!

In general, I liked this character and had an eye on you for a soonish Maraning. Good to have you back.

Thanks! Unfortunately he just didn't have direction or goals, or even really a role that he followed. Made him end up pretty flat once I got to the higher ranks. It's also hard to make friends when you only play occasionally.

Funny story. At like, level 20-something, I ranked with Isendor for a bit, then logged off at the Inn. Then I logged on like a week later, and the Crusade spell from Isendor wore off a few ticks in to that session. Isendor was a hero! Then the next login, which may have been half a week later, I got inducted in to the fort after Isendor interviewed me. :P I don't think he remembered me from ranking, and I didn't remind him, because it didn't seem prudent.

Anyway, good character Isendor, I liked him.

73493, Well, at least I can say I got killed by Aarn.

I miss you.

Come back, please?

Hah, you're that shifter right? That was an unbelievably opportunistic kill, I was almost embarrassed, sorry about that. I assumed you teleported and were maybe blind? What was going on there anyway? :P

Speaking of kills, I should thank that necromancer, Gromb-something. You went out of your way to get me some gear back after you got me at the Fort, but still roleplayed it well for a necro. I was impressed. Also, no one ever failed a damn sleep on me even once, be they AP or necro, despite me dressing for saves, living with endure up and nearly always having the Fort healers bless. Freakin' sleep.

73514, I got badly hurt by something that made me drop gear.

Heh.

Was regathering it the two ticks or so before I ran into you basically praying no one was around.

We (me being Jaisel) ranked together quite abit early on. I could have sworn you were a newer player cause you never bothered practicing your kicks early on. So much for that.

I liked the char though, until you just disappeared for a while.

I had the exact same issue with Isendor, too. Ranked with him one day, the next he was a hero, the next, he was the leader who was inducting me.

Oh yeah, hah, I think Jaisel was on every time I logged on for like two weeks straight. You were way better with an assassin than I was, I've never played one to level 35 before this.

Anyway, one of my downfalls is generally that I never practice anything because it's boring. :P I never did get mule kick past 75%. The only reason my defenses got perfected is because I did a ton of soloing, and the only reason I even did that is because it's tough to get a group together if you only have an hour or so to play.

73509, EVE's fun.

I used to play EVE but nothing too serious, whereas my friends were hardcore about it. Fun game, but I agree on the time-consuming part; if you're not just logging in to change skills then it can take some time.

Anyhow, thanks for the random chats those couple times, hope to see you around again with something.

For a while there were a bunch of CFers that played, but I think most of them are dormant right now. I'm still up on skill training, but that's about it. Maybe after this semester is over I'll give it another go.

Anyway, had fun those few times at the Inn, and the one or two times we ranked together!
