Finally, a new, working machine after the old one passed away to silicone heaven. It was a good little machine, too. Amd k6 233, served me for five years :)
Anyways, now that this new beast is on my desk, I was faced with a problem: I wasn't logged in for 10 days, or over 10 days and from what logs I quickly browsed on Dio's (and there were tons) everything got changed. So, I didn't have the face to just log in and pretend that nothing happened.
Another reason was that, with the Hon.Bsc. finally under my belt, I was planning to go to Europe for a long-overdue trip. As it turns out, I mananged to land the ticket for 25th of June, and everything after that was bought out till September. Talk about travel season. So, this was the other (and more prevalent) reason to go. If mudding holds me, I'm back in two months.
And finally, to the proper part of this message: the CF people. You know, I grew to like almost each and every single one of you. In 180 hours of Swirzza's life, there was rarely a dull moment. Unfortunately, as those hours are spaced out over a long time, I will be unable to mention each and every deserving name out there. I hope there will be no hard feelings.
Battle: amazing cabal. I hated you with passion with my first hero (scion warrior) and I decided on a whim to try you out. Another thing I wanted to try were those damnable felars. It was beyond me why would anyone want to play that race, and there was only one way to find out...
Even after 180 hrs, I'm still undecided on them. They make for amazing tanks with right specs, but that damnable base strenght of 17... Arials, I say.
Anyways, Swirzza was born, decided to try village and really liked it. As so many have written, the spirit of camaraderie is really amazing, through bad times (Yulithe... and that's about it) and good (Ooqogar and Thralkoz, Solphia, Saktha, Quesik, Lohrn, Shamus, numerous others). Immteraction was par exellence, with special praise of Intronan. You were everything I expected of a hardened commander, both in praise and critique. The Jade Mountains episode was probably where I felt Swirzza as a char the most in Thera. Thror, the rites RP where Shamus won was so good that it had actually made me chuckle out loud. I haven't done that in ages. I don't know of a higher compliment :)
Enemies: pretty much everyone else. Sylvan was good, Targaryen really know how to roll (though he rarely did, at least with the punches. Most of the time he rocked).
Scion: other than Dwoggurd (Brrrrrr...) and Urden, I really can't remember anyone who had balls to go one on one and kick my ass too.
Warlock: numerous, yet unfocused and not too scary foes. Daurwyn, what little I've seen and Thy... something -- conjurers. I mentioned other invokers that gave me something to ponder on in other goodbyes.
Closing thoughts: spear/staff is an amazing spec. Whips/flails, I wished I explored some more. Definitely potential. The legacy I chose was fluid deceptions. At first I thought it was the most stupid thing anyone could have chosen, but then some benefits came into clear. It was good.
Berserkers: good overall. If you know when to call bloodthirst, you'll be fine :-)
Thanks for everything, everyona. Good things and bad.

You were the first Rager Lohrn saw. I remember the first time we met. Some dwarf wanna-be-rager called me to meet you and he at the worms. You were always an amazing character to be around, and I'm glad you enjoyed the experience as much as you did. Swirzza was/is definitely one of the most memorable characters in Lohrn's time. I believe only Shamus is left out of our little Rager_Age. And from what I hear, he's doing great.
Congrats on the new system. I hope you have a great time in Europe, and I hope you come back to us soon. Until then, good luck.

Glad you enjoyed the village, and glad I played a small part in that enjoyment. I figured at first you weren't a hardened veteran of playing battle, but you adjusted quite nicely. Also glad you enjoyed the Rites... if you like those... just wait til what the future holds...

This is NOT what you should put in for a guy who's getting on a plane in under 2 weeks. Damnit ;-) Any idea you could hint more? Or will it be seen on forums, when it happens (net caffes are ok in Europe, I guess)?

Good job - I always liked Swirzza and enjoyed showing you some fun things. We overlapped with the spear spec, so we didn't make a great team, but you were always willing to raid or go out looking for people with me. I felt bad about not getting you to hero, and even worse about getting you killed (at least once). Good luck with the next.
