While I can understand and appreciate all the stuff about Imperial RP blah, blah, blah, I am just not going to waste 100 more hours to get promotion when there is only one Elite blade during my playing times and Warmaster does not seem to pay attention to what is going on.

I guess it was just a bad timing for me to roll Imperial char while:
1) there are too many Blades-wanna-be around
2) there are too many bards among them
3) there are too many imperials in general
4) the only one who can give me promotions and demotions is incompetent f***tard who whine about each and every death like noone else I saw before

It is within his RP boundaries? Fine with me. Let it be.
But it is not like I am going to waste my time on char that is not appreciated.

It was my old dream, from the times of Skiltore, to play bard in Empire, but, well, bad luck. Thanks, Jhuutr! For reminding me while I stayed away from Empire for such a long time!

With my next bard (if I ever get time to play again)) I will wait till Empire is underpopulated and needs some help, I guess. Will fit my playing style a way more.

Also, with my next char I will write role before hand. Never really had time to write it with Cantilena :P

What were the penalties for demotion in Empire before?

I mean there was a change where it was something like 'punishments for demotions in Empire are much less strict now blah blah blah', but with each demotion I was losing:
1) Around 40 gold from donations
2) I had to pay like 30-40 gold to the person to promote me again to the first Echelon.
3) Skill percentage on powers

Were you losing everything before or something? Just curious :)

This game 'gather more gold' was getting tiresome.

This is much less than it used to be.

This is purely player choice, and has nothing to do with being a penalty for demotion.

The first one was "unfair" but still RPish. :(

She's deleted. She can't "keep it IC" because there is no more IC for the character. That being said, I don't disagree with what I saw one bit. Imperials ought to be demoting people for their percieved (real or not) mistakes.

I wish more imperials would use promote/demote as a political/rp tool than as a way to buff up their PK pals. I'd love to see more fluctuation in the Imperial ranks, and watch more infighting and actual evilness going on as people try to screw over their brother to get a promotion instead of him. Keep that #### up.

Personally I think it's great political RP when you are under someone who is your inferior in some way, either physically, mentally or in a tactical sense. You have to do a little dance as you try to nudge him out of his spot so you can either take it or slip right past him. You can't afford to piss him off too badly, or you'll find yourself kicked in the nuts. But the flip side of that is, he looks good for you doing good things and being under him. It's a really fun situation to play out, I just wish more people thought so instead of just promoting everyone they can.
