Another villager bites the dust!

Well, what can I say. Thank you to the imms who make this game so addicting. Been playing off and on since about '97 and I still don't know squat about a lot of places. And there are even more yet that I never have been to. And I did take care of that with Golanth this time around, and went to a few places I never been too, and explored quite a few more that I really never thought about.

Hunter rangers are quite different than from what I am used to playing. They require a lot of patience in order to get the full effect from them, I feel. That was something that I just did not have, and I think that if I had more, Golanth could have been a much more of a force than he was. As it was, it seemed like everything I did was more medicore than the high standards of the people I was facing. More of an annoying fly that needed to be swatted every now and again. Some of the skills are great, and others are just lacking. But it seemed like I was basically meat to be pounded on if I fought anywhere other than the wilds, and half the time when my prompt said wilderness, I was still getting my butt kicked.

But anyway, enough of that. If anyone would like input, I will give it. But this place is for goodbyes.

Imms: To the one with the echos, thank you again. I never expected it, thought that my character was definately not a shining light within the fields. Kind of make his death a lot easier for a seemingly pointless life.

Thrak: There were just some days I just wanted to take your head and beat some sense into it. But otherwise a great character that I did not mind being around either. Lots of fun as well.

Vhloughvang: Interesting character. Sorry about the few things I did wrong. You will do well as commander

Eulinda: A spunky character who was also fun to pick and poke fun at. But another village who knew what she was doing.

All the youngins and others I forgot: Keep up the good work. Half the fun was trying to get all of you ranking.

Fort: Just Ernam comes to mind here really. And Aldran. Both really tough mages who were fun to fight.

Empire: Didn't really fight many of you guys. Actually, really didn't see many of you at all.

Nexus: Lots here that I did fight, and well, it was mostly a futile attempt of me trying to kill people. Still lots of fun.

Outlanders: Knew a few of you, and respected a few of you. Otherwise, just like me, but with a different purpose.

Spire: More of a pain in the butt. Really didn't deal with you guys, since most of the cities are not wilderness.

Scion: Some really good players here. Kanaev, Edimus, and the like. Lots of good fights, though mostly me being sent packing or what not.

Various other people: I'm missing a lot here. Give a shout, eh.

Anyway, thanks again for such a great fun game. Got a few things to do before I really think about rolling up another one. Mostly, sell my house, move into a new place, and get settled in. Anyway, Good luck all of you, and see you in the fields.

From an enemy's standpoint, you were never afraid to rush into odds that were against you. You weren't a complete douchebag, and the little we did talk was inspirational to both of us. Like I said in my thread, I think you were a little too willing to jump out of the forests to bash on me. You did set some nice traps that I stupidly ran into, but that's the fun in it!

I think if you were to play another soon, set traps all of the time. When you saw a force coming, set them and lay in wait. Pick them off one at a time and I think you could have done a fantastic job.

When you were an applicant I got very nice reports about you so I had made up my mind to get you a hut. Actually what you say (about playing on and off) makes sense. I was a bit confused about what kinda player you were because you were doing some things like a pro and seemed to know better about them than me and seemed new to other stuff. I noticed you would quiet down and listen when some of us got talking or rping or discussing strategies and so on which is really very good if you want to understand the intricacies of the game. I wish more of the other newer players would do that than run around getting butchered or regearing. Sometimes observing other people can teach you as much. Gherian was to invokers what cabdru was to aps and a lot of current mage players used to tag along behind his skirts but I am rambling here.
I learnt a lot about hunters just watching you and while they can be deadly under the right mix, for you, it was mostly a case of fighting at a disadvantage. And in all the hours I spent with you I did not notice one remark about the unfairness of your playing fields which is a huge positive in my book atleast. I really liked the attitude and you were my fav ranger in battle. Too bad my times have dropped a lot this past one month. Good work and return again, to battle ofcourse. I will be there.

We had some pretty funny fights, most of them starting with me marking you 15 minutes before. It was usually pretty brave of you to come and fight me on my own terrain not that you couldn't tank like a machine with that bow anyway, but just because of the risk that you gambled and usually lost all on that one weapon for your tanking needs.

I actually didn't get to fight you as much as I'd have liked... I always walked right into your ensnare and as soon as you started trying to hit me I'd dodge like 8 hits and take off :P Good job though, was interesting seeing a Rager villager. It's because of you that I always had to drop what I was doing and scout out the village for everyone when nighttime came :P

I beg to differ. True, I never died to you, but we had a good match up. I loved the two fights we did have because of that, especially the one in the Village. Of course, half the time felt like I was running away, but I enjoyed them, regardless. Anyways, I wish you well in the future.
