Would it be do-able to have these items added to PBF's?:

-Coinage spent on food over lifetime.
-Coinage spent on potions.
-How many mercs were bought.
-For liches, how many phylacteries were created over lifetime.
-How many times player was zapped by a wand.
-How many times a rager baned a spell.
-How many times a Scion volleyed a spell.
-How many times the player fled in a PK.
-For AP's, how many times iceball was cast.
-How many times the character used the rescue skill.
-How many items the character looted from PC corpses over lifetime.

Might be tedious, but I sure wouldn't mind seeing that stuff.

I don't see these as being terribly interesting. What I think would be more interesting is a chronological list (by hours played, and including level) of when skills were perfected. Not so people can show off, but so players who are considering a particular race/class combo can get an idea of how long it will realistically take in order for certain things to hit 100%. Would also "out" people who sit at 15 and do defenses, or who camp at a particular level to master something.
55207, I don't want PBFs to totally turn into tools to berate people with.

Stuff like coins spent on potions, mercs bought, wand zapping and such just seem like tools for people to deride another player and for doing things which are perfectly legit tactics. Stuff like fights fled doesn't even stack up to anything meaningful if you're a conjie, necro, thief, ranger, druid, etc.
55221, I'm with this guy.

Certainly seems like the intent, and we see enough of that on the Battlefield as is.

55232, Eh...wasn't MY intent

I'm pretty easy-going on the judgement thing. I honestly think it'd be interesting.

Besides, I think there's enough berating on the Imm Comments sections to take the spotlight off of anything these stats could show.
55233, Then what was your intent?

I honestly don't see anything "interesting" about what you've put there.

What's "interesting" isn't the same for everyone. This wasn't a demand, but a simple request.

That being said, you guys don't like it, so it's not going to happen. I'm not going to waste my time justifying anything I put there. Interestingly, but not suprisingly, everyone jumped on the "this must be a malicious plot" bandwagon, rather than taking it at face value. I didn't have any evil motives for knowing this information...like everything else in the PBF it is just a statistic. You don't want to expand on those statistics - fine, done.

To spin things the other way, if you guys are really concerned with info being used to defame a character, why is there a Gank-O-Meter? How does it help anything in the long run?

I think how many times someone fled would be interesting...and maybe "coins used in lifetime" just in-general.
55260, Actually.

I know you personally aren't about condemning people. But have you seen the rest of the playerbase lately?

The gank-o-meter at least has a net positive. IE, you can say you weren't ganky. Most of these are purely linear which means you can't infer anything from them at all. Instead, people will merely pick at irregularities.

IE, "this guy baned 300 spells, spellbane is ####", or "he spent 50 gold on potions, what a prepwhore".

Its not your fault, of course, I'm just pointing out that's the only way this info will be used.

And I'm trying to understand why it is a request. I gave you my opinion, that doesn't mean it's etched in stone. Opinions can change. Usually when I'm getting a request (from mortals, immortals, my daughter, my wife, a co-worker, etc.) I try to understand why (the root cause) they want it. This one doesn't make sense to me that you pick out one skill from two classes, one cabal power from two cabals, and a few other things that appear to me to track preperation for a fight. One question springs to mind, why iceball, why not fireball, lightning bolt, chill touch. Why spellbane, why not deathblow, poultice, critical. You've obviously picked these for a reason, I'm curious what it is.

It was pretty much summed up in the other post. It has a sliding scale between honorable and ganky.

Truth is, I just wanted to know. I know, for example, that iceball is a very popular spell among AP's. I used it a lot myself. Just curious how much it typically gets used - and that's not for any reason, I just wanted to know for the heck of it. Same goes with the rest, though I chalk the lich/phylactery one up to a higher level...almost like charges for an AP.

Anyhoo, it's no big deal.

What is your own estimate on how many times did you use iceball? Ever bothered to count? And what value does the number have without statics from all the other skills? How does the game tell spamming and PK usage from each other(especially in the case of skills like herbs or rejuvenate)? I'm not entirely convinced that these values would have a contribution, but it's all skills or no skills if you want to do this kind of tracking.
