40398, Yagig deleted....muchtxt
Posted by Bad Ivan on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM

Yagig may have been the most fun I have had playing CF. It was
fun trying to play a char with a horrid self image instead of one
who thought he was the man. My wretched little arial proved to
be all the fun I had hoped.

Yagig suffered from beaten dog syndrome. He was mean and
distrustful of strangers but overly loyal to those he considered
friends even to his detriment. I am sorry to any who had to
listen to his bothersome speech pattern but it came with the
role. I have always thought myself a better right hand man
than a leader and never thought I would get a leadership role.
I disappointed myself as Advisor as I just don’t have real mean
in me. I was much too nice to be advisor at times and enjoyed
my good foes enough to not wish to loot the hell out of them.
Sorry to the Chasm Imms for not doing better at it.

When I was inducted the Chasm seemed abit down but within
a couple of weeks we got some real good talent. It has been
some time since I have seen the Chasm with the consistent
numbers it has had as of late and a strong Chasm always
made the Karnavex in me happy. Sorry to delete with the
many things that were in the works but I gots to go. This will
run long with all the goodbyes but for maybe the first time with
a character I really liked most everyone I played with and
against.

Immortals – I wanted to play a character to treated Gods
like Gods. I could not fathom others speaking with such
ease to a being that could snuff them out at a whim. Thanks
to all for the many interactions and opprunities you gave
me.

Eshval / Dreaa / Muuloc - You guys are such a presence
in the Chasm. It seemed that one of you was always on and
looking over someone’s shoulder. No place was too far
out of the way to avoid you guys. My role was to avoid you
guys at all cost so it only made the resulting interactions all
the more fun. Thanks for the quest powers and skills and I
regret not sticking around longer to see them used. Muuloc
thanks for all the patience trying to get night terror working.
out. You guys are champs and the Chasm is better for you.

Qaledus - The only Imm I ever sought out and it was worth
it. You have got the Thief God thing nailed. I always felt
like I was crawling in front of the Don seeking favors and
I was one step away from a knife in the back if I failed. I
would always tell Maz he was as likely to find me face down
in the swamp as back in the Chasm when I came to see you.
You locking your office door is classic. Thanks for everything.

Fortress – As a whole you renewed my faith in goodies.

Qulenit – The one character I was ever fearful of period. Any
other class with a less skilled player behind it and I could
either beat it or at least get away. If one character changed
the dynamics of raids and defenses it was you. You know
how I felt about the pit thing but that’s not much to hold
against such a solid foe.

Solasarath – Our interactions were limited but in what I
saw I was nothing but impressed. You manage your role
play so evenly and manage to treat even a dedicated foe
with a measure of respect and politeness.

Dorn – Fat Dwarf #1. I can’t say I feared you but damned
you were a pain in the butt. I just couldn’t do anything to
you. Your roleplay was excellent and you separated yourself
from so many other paladins. One of the last times you
raided the Chasm I tried to jump you at the outer. I was
doing my best trying so many things and you just kept
hitting the other and said “You wont mind if I just ignore
you will you?”. That has me laughing for some time.
Great job bro keep it up.

Ruren – Fat Dwarf #2. Great fights and you did indeed
nearly get me in arial. I liked you from the get go and you
were yet another who raised my opinions of team good.

Jemr – I’ll keep it short by saying that you are what I have
always thought an acolyte should be. Well roleplayed and
willing to sacrifice yourself for others. Solid.

Outlander – Limited interactions but a few who shined.

Aptonmir – Tree Hider. Sorry I didn’t get to do more with
you. Your personality stood out and you always seemed to
be lurking nearby.

Daldibble – Panther gnome. Thanks for all the encounters.
It always helps to have an eye in the sky and you proved
more than willing to interact when not in form trying to
chase down Tribs. Thanks for teaching me a thing or two
as well.

Kazren – I hope you keep it up and get the recognition
you are worth. You helped rank my sorry self up and I
never saw anything but quality from you. I never thought
a fire dagger spec could work but I suppose that tells you
how little I know.

Battle – I noticed the “Battle Sucks Threads” have been
down and I attribute it to the mostly great cast of guys I
saw.

Vinourak – You played the kind of char I have always
wanted to but lacked the mentality for. You were 100%
balls to the wall and were always up for a fight. Great
villager.

Brindelbin – I never thought a defender could be such a
pain in the ass. I loved fighting you because the battles
would always last forever. I hope you make a go of it as
an Imm.

Prucibal – I haven’t seen you around much as of late but
you sure had heart. You accepted your defeats well and
never shied away from trying to have another go. You
ended up running me off more and more as you gained
those titles.

Gerylanst – Between fighting you and serving under
Drahkul I am about sold on scouts. There were times I
could do nothing to you at all. If all was fair you should
have had me dead several more times. The number of
times we would have two people bashing you and you
still managed to slip away is beyond count. Keep giving
them hell.

Scions – It was good coming back to the hole in the ground.

Raheena – I should start with an apology to you. As a
player I have never felt so bad about something in-game
but for Yagig is was perfect. I am sorry to have cost you
the time and the shot at something many rarely get. You
taught me a ton and I really got to liking you as time went
on but after or initial encounter in Organia I had already
started plotting. Player to player sorry once again.

Maztriel – I think I saw somewhere that you said this was
your first leader char. If so you are doing a hell of a job.
Thanks for letting me play right-hand-man and being
involved in so many hair-brained plots. I learned a lot
from you as a player and you kept my roleplay tight
by never letting yours slip. Keep being bold and sorry
to leave you bro.

Runaktla – I always felt so sorry for you when I was
first inducted. The Chasm was abit down and it seemed
the only people giving us the beatdown were villagers
you could never hurt. Your roleplay was superb and you
seemed an excellent leader. Thanks for putting in the
groundwork for what became a rather strong Chasm.

Xolshifaz – You made me want to roll up a conjurer
something fierce. I tried to keep you around enough to
learn a thing or two. I am not sure if the class is that
much improved or if I was just seeing their potential in
really competent hands. Great job all around.

Gondrak – You just kept getting better. I usually shun
minos because of the speech but I always seemed to
understand you. Great job sticking it out so long and I
really hope you end up getting what you sought.

Drathk – I don’t know who played this char but man
you made a believer out of me. Skilled from the time
we first met and made me rethink my long held thoughts
on those legacies of yours. I am sure Maz would like
to have you back.

Azakard – Stabber. I always wondered how you didn’t
get the hell beat out of you. I think you must have found
some way to turn all that confidence into dam redux. I
was impressed when we first started ranking together and
it never changed. I also loved what you would say when
you went to log off. Keep it up.

Empire – I must say there are a couple of you who have
done a damned fine job sticking with a cabal that has been
down for some time. Yagharek / Dulmisa / Aurilinius I
think you each deserve recognition for sticking it out. Had
your numbers been up quicker I am sure I would have had
interactions with you.

It's been said again and again, but the deception thing you pulled off was beyond awesome. I wish more evil people would be that, well, evil to other evil people. I have two massive pet peeves about evil. One of them is 'team evil' mentality. You screwing over Raheena was more of what I'd like to see outta evil in terms of working with evils. The other is 'victim evil'....which I didn't see at all here. Anyway...great run all around, fun to watch.
40512, Sorry for the late response

But I loved being around yagig. The emotes, especially your nod, gave a great sense of you self-image...or lack thereof. Gondrak really enjoyed being around you...felt like you gave him the respect he deserved without sacrificing your own. I enjoyed fighting with you too, and all that good stuff.
Come on back

I will definatly miss you, you where entertainment for ranking up always something to say.
Sadly I think I'll be joining you up here in to long considering I've got school and a job to work on...
Will post more later..
40446, Thanks for the good times.

You were always a great guy to run with - sorry I wasn't around to see you off. (I haven't been around as much as I'd like the past couple weeks.... but I'll be back in full effect soon!)
40491, Likewise...
Posted by Yagig on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
You were one of the chars that I always had on my list to try to pull aside and get some exploring done as I enjoyed your company when we ranked. I am used to scions being down and often having time to explore and such because odds are horrid but this go around all any of us ever seemed to have time to do was rank and fight. I hope you enjoy the char and I'll see you in the fields in one form or another.
40429, Well, sorry to see you go
Posted by Dorn on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
But I'm not sorry that I won't be fighting two invokers for a bit. I honestly can't say what made it so hard for you to hurt me, but my best guess is saves. As for the incident with the "ignoring you", it just popped out for some reason and it was hillarious. Wish you best luck with your next character.
40442, I'd love to know...
Posted by Yagig on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
I'd love to know what kind of saves you had because I really couldn't do anything to you. I even considered posting on dio's for advice at one point. When I am geysering/engulfing you for maims it just was not going to work out. With your weapon there was no getting that out of your hand either. You weer one of things I loved about the fort in that you constantly tried not only force but conversation as well. Good job fat dwarf.

Heh, I am not a dagger spec, but, like you said, that's how little you know. :P I liked Yagig and it was always good to find someone to rank with as an evil outlander. I am just glad that the war with scion was before you were one, otherwise, I would still be level 35.
Thanks for letting me in and making me a small part of the Raheena thing. I was kind of hoping that I could have done more, but there was so little need. Nobody even asked me about it outside of you and Dalbiddle. What you did earned mega smoothness points. Good luck with your next go around.
40425, Well thats what you get...
Posted by Yagig on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Well thats what you get for hiding in the bushes all the time! Not a dagger spec eh? Damned it seemed like you used them alot comming up...ahh I remember now what you use. I traveled with Azakard so long everyone started looking like a dagger spec. Thanks for helping rank my sorry feathered butt so much. I am sorry we didn't get a chance to run more oft later on in life but your war went one way and mine the other. If you are willing I'd love for you to email me (rcarraway@sc.rr.com) so I can ask about the viability of some outlanderish stuff. If I hear from you or not good luck with Kaz and I'll see you in the fields.

I had so many things I wanted to involve you in but like any good assassian you were rarely visable. While you were very pleasent to me you seemed way to skilled to fully trust I wasn't a mark. You are one of the many reasons I more often than not teleported out of the Chasm instead of walking. Keep making everyone wary bro.

Posted by Prucibial on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Well not damnit cause I am kind of happy to see you out of the way, but really disappointed that I didnt get to hero and then have more and more fights with you. Knew right from the start that you would be a little different than an average scion and then after you came and fought me one on one.. even getting rid of your walker (although you had to know you would win) I was quite impressed. Loved the fact that the steriotypical speech patterns of our roles were reversed, made me laugh out loud the first time you started talking about yourself in the third person like a barbarian :)

Good job!

First, you were a great deal of fun to watch, and you provided me with a good amount of enjoyment. Your plots were on the verge of mad genius or just madness...I loved them.

You earned all the rewards, titles, and accolades that were given to you, and I felt no hesitance about helping you get them.

You were in every way, a typical Scion, the way they 'should' be, with a twist of Empire thrown in for measure. You reminded me of the plotings and treachery of ancient Rome.

Good luck and whatever comes next.

I am very sorry to see you go. I hoped you'd last long enough to make use of your passing, but that disappointment aside, we got a lot done and had fun doing it. I always wondered if the submissive act you put on was a feint or not, well now I know. In the beginning I didn't have much to loose and that was why I had you go to Qaladus after we'd decided to work together, if things went south you'd get caught red-handed. :) But as time went on, I had to let you further and further into my confidence and my character became a bit uneasy about you. Maztriel trusted you a great deal but there was always a shadow of suspicion, if we could do that to Raheena, what's to stop him from trying something like that on me? This was especially amplified when you told me IC you didn't want Advisor and then became it shortly thereafter. I respected you a great deal both as a player and your character. Through all the quests, raids, plotting, etc. you were a blast to play with and I miss you (and Drathk) a ton already.

Here's to sunny days, empty roads, and fine women in your future.

I had a few minor plots working to weaken you a little if you became too strong but nothing that would have made you loose the seat. From having played enough scions when there were long periods of weakness I just couldn't bring myself to try to move against you and weaken us. As I said I think I was a little too nice with Yagig but we all have faults. I consider myself fairly knowledgeable about the game and it is always fun to bump into someone who knows as much if not more. I think you are doing a great job with the Chasm and I hope these recent departures dont hurt you too much. I think you have convinced me to go all seven paths with my next voker after having you flaunt that pillar on me a few times.

I liked your character a lot. Your character always reminded
me of the Igor to Dr. Frankenstein, so therefore your evilness
didn't show outwardly, but you would pursue evil-ish things.

Thanks for the compliment in this and my goodbye, I clumped
you with Krilcov as being the folks I wish I would have
inducted earlier. Sorry I deleted when I did but my next law
school summer semester had started and I had been around for
a long time, and was constantly fighting an enemy that was
effectively immune to me. You saw.

I'd have to say I'm happy I told Dreaa that I pegged you and
Maztriel as the potential next Chancellor... well Maztriel
became Chancellor and you became Advisor.

Can't wait to see your PBF,

Right here, I just want to start laughing thinking about me popping out of the shadows...the emotes alone were great then, then the continued emotes throughout the talks, half the time I wouldn't respond quick like I normally would because I was normally laughing. I've enjoyed evil characters for their arrogance, their cockiness, their ability to clear out a path solo, but Yagig is the one exception that he didn't please me with any of those, but he truely made me laugh, not just smirk, but laugh at how scared he was. Every time I talked to you, your emotes made me picture one of those weeble wobble things, hilarious really. Don't fool yourself, while you weren't the 'normal' choice for Advisor, you did a find job from what I saw since I returned. Well done I believe I'll finish this post up with, well done.

I have had so many of the stock strong/bold/arrogant evils that I thought I would try a different path with Yag. I saw so few chars with flaws that I decided to make one full of em. I am used to getting a little immeraction with my chars but damned you guys were always around. At any time one of you would echo via an npc or show up at odd times. That created a great atmosphere for a char that was deathly afraid of the gods and enforced his views. Thanks again for all the opprunitites to improve this char.

Any other time I would really have to say that having Immteraction isn't a chance to improve your character, that's it's only an oppertunity to prove it and know your doing it; however, with that role I'll agree without making it sound like bragging. I don't think you really need to thank me, I've sat through a lot of boring talks as many different characters, but whenever you were around and I was talking to you, I just knew it was going to be intresting, if not the talk, then at least how you acted. So actually, I think it's only appropriate I thank you. The Immortal Staff at carrion fields is always thanked for the hard work they put in, (I'm the exception, a pretty big slacker, I just take the credit I think) and they've earned every bit of it, but without players like you and many others that we have, we/they might not care so much to work so hard to make Carrion Fields the game it is. We can all agree Carrion Fields isn't perfect, but damnit, in my opinion and many others, it's awefully damn close, some flaws, and there always will be, but without such a good playerbase, there'd be many more because the Imm Staff might not care as much, maybe I'm wrong though! Good luck with the next anyhow, hope to see you ago in some form or another.

Man..I really liked Yagig. Wise and calm (and helpful, the last bit of interaction there ;)). First time I met you I was rather quiet as you were not how I expected you to be..I expected you to push and boss me around but surprisingly, you didn't. Your rp was solid however, I liked it. Hope you have as much fun with your next.
